Under The Bridge
Another Selfy Sunday Out-take
I usually fire off a few shots to make sure the framing, focus and light are what I'm looking for then go about the business of shooting the real thing. This is one of those test shots before the props got involved but I kinda liked it so here you go.

Trilliums and the Lens Choice Failure
I shot a mountain bike race and all I came out of the forest with was a photo of a flower
100mm f/2.8 is a wonderful lens for hiking through a forest and photographing flowers but a prime lens is not a great idea for a mountain bike race

Ruined
I had a great afternoon hanging out with +Jeff Smith & +Jana Smith at their photo gallery opening http://altonmill.ca/visit/events/jana-smith-photography_show/
They mentioned that there was a waterfall just around the corner so when we were done for the day I headed over to check it out. I got a couple cool shots but there were these ruins right beside it so figured with #selfysunday theme being The Great Outdoors I'd shoot this as well. I'll be uploading it to that album in a half hour so I shall apologize in advance for the spamage :)

Kiiiiiiiimmmmmmy
When word got out that we who love +kimberton pemberly should sprinkle her with bright happy sparkly images in the hopes that it may make her feel a little better I had a chat with WALL-E. I thought a pretty flower would do but that's when he did a burnout on my desk and took off out the door. I chased after him with camera and macro lens in hand following the dusty trail he left behind. I followed it to some flowers where he motioned for me to set up. He took off in another trail of dust humming some tune from a musical long ago. I waited by the crocus wondering what was going on when he came around the corner, skidded to a halt, held up the tiniest blue flower and said "Kiiiiimmmmmy!" Hope your days full of pretty bokeh Kim ;)

Tool Time
This place isn't just a museum but a working garage full of gear-heads who want nothing but to get every single one of these cool planes up in the air. BTW, they are all volunteers doing it for the love of it, and because their wives like to get rid of them for a few hours a day.

Shooting With The Big Bro
Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
A very cool place to visit! Not only do they welcome photographers but have no issues with tripods!!! The volunteers there love to talk about their planes and show them off as Paul and I were quite surprised when one cool old guy approaches us while shooting a B 25J Mitchell III bomber, he says "Do you want to see inside my plane?" we were like "Ummm, ya!" Pretty cool to sit in the cockpit of one of those, especially since it still flies! They were just waiting for some engine oil to fill her up and take her for a spin.
As a side note, I bracketed every shot there including this one so this album will be full of HDR, I haven't done any of that in a couple years so bear with me on my processing...it's been a while :)

Raise your hand if you got to sit in the cockpit of a B 25J Mitchell III bomber

Awesome day shooting with +Paul Bagley today! Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and two waterfalls in Hamilton. The very large cathedral we wanted to go in was locked, who locks up a church on a Saturday afternoon? The urbex shoot was also a bust for they put in extra reinforcements to prevent intruders :/
All in all an great day of photography!
