Are you like me (and apparently many others) who don't like the new 2- or 3- column stream?

Go to Settings --> Accessibility --> make sure the box is unchecked for "Change the presentation of some pages to work better with screen readers and other assistive tools."

It'll be a little odd, since the column is the same size as a 2- or 3-column layout (it's not wider even though it's just one column) but it's less cluttered if that's how you like it.

I'll still give the new layout some use to see if I get used to it, but I still don't like Facebook's 2-column Timeline, or TwitLonger's multiple-column layout. So I don't think this will grow on me. It's only nice to see a bunch of content all at once rather than me giving up after scrolling a few times, but even then it's so cluttered and overwhelming I still... more »

Another great day of volunteering with the Do Good Bus!

I got +Cubbie some yummy new food he seems to be interested in, so we'll see if he likes it later. Also, Mark Pontius from Foster The People came along and helped out, which is always a treat.

Today we partnered with Best Friends Animal Society and NKLA (No Kill Los Angeles). Led by Best Friends Animal Society, NKLA is a coalition of animal rescue organizations, city shelters and passionate individuals dedicated to ending the killing of healthy and treatable pets in L.A. shelters.

There were a lot of animals to adopt: dogs, cats, even bunnies and a snake! Also a ton more organizations that are involved. The event is still going on tomorrow so if you're in the area, check it out and maybe even give one of the little guys a good home :) (Be careful though, if you're like me, you'll want them all! After working on the Bee Movie game years ago at Activision, I barely saw (most of) it earlier today on TV. Not only was it pretty bad, but joking about making a suicide pact? This was a kids' movie??! Granted most kids' movies have subtle adult humor, but stuff kids won't understand. But suicide? That wasn't even subtle. WTF?

Had a GOOD day at Ballona Wetlands on this Eath Day weekend with the Do Good Bus, along with Friends of Ballona Wetlands! We cleared out a lot of dead grass and evasive weeds and plants that threaten the native (and some endangered) plants that grow here.

What was really awesome is South Bay Wildlife Rehab held an auction to release a young Red-tailed Hawk that had been rehabilitated after being shot a while back. She was healed and ready to get back to nature. I won the raffle and got to release her! I'll post pictures or video if I come across them, but you can see her in the one photo where she's being put back into her temporary, portable red box after saying hi to us all. I got to open the box and tip it and release her into the wild, where she flew away. It was really cool doing that :D

I can't tell you how giddy I am about this. The added depth is gonna be really cool. And one of my favorite things from Link's Awakening and the first A Link To The Past (and other 8- and 16-bit Zelda games) were the boss noises. I'm glad they kept that sound when you attack them. It's one of my favorite sounds for some reason. It's just so satisfying.

For the past day or so, officials have refused to give details about the Boston bombing suspects. +CNN praised them for not speculating on religion, race, etc. I thought that was great, too. Because we're after individuals, not an entire culture, race, or creed.

Now all I'm hearing is "they were Muslim" and reporters from other networks asking questions about what religion the uncle is, and all these questions about their religious beliefs that could have led to this... Even CNN has made a few comments saying they're from a predominantly Muslim area, which seems irrelevant and thrown in for no reason.

This has nothing to do with being Muslim.

Can we please stop giving an entire group a bad name? Every religion has extremists, including Christians and Catholics. We have KKK members that believe they are doing God's work. There are even... more »

So The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past 2 is coming to Nintendo 3DS (currently no English title, but the Japanese title translates to ALTTP2) and Earthbound is coming to Wii U. Also, a new Yoshi's Island game for 3DS. That's pretty epic news, along with a lot of other stuff announced yesterday.

2013 looks to be a great year for Nintendo consoles! Can't wait to see what surprises they have at E3 this year!

You search for a band and song name, you get "Cat People" as the results. What?!

Also, I find it hilarious it also suggests horror movies, but Resident Evil (which should be horror) is labeled "Action & Adventure." 'Cause the only thing scary about it is that it managed to get 4.5 stars.
