Alter of the Random Fruit

Today while walking to lunch I spotted some #randomfruit  (similar to this picture) on the local alter. Someone who was about thirty seconds ahead of me grabbed whatever sacrifice had been left on the alter.

Family History Expo 

I am still trying to digest all of the things I learned at the Family History Expo held on Jan 18 and Jan 19 in Mesa, Arizona. There were 64  presentations on many different genealogical topics. I was only able to go to eight presentations. Three people that I follow on Google+ gave presentations that I attended: +Lisa Louise Cooke, +Mark Olsen and +James Tanner.

When skies cry.

I could sit for hours watching clouds move. The patterns they make, as well as the subtle reflections they present on water.... move my soul.

I've stood high on cliffs as our sun lit up our clouds in such a phenomenal way that I had no choice but to shed tears.

Unofficial Goal Surpassed

I just surpassed this year's unofficial goal of riding my bicycle at least 122 days. I have now ridden on 123 different days. However, the average ride was only 4 miles. I need to go for longer rides next year.

Not too bad for an old man!

Guess what time it is ... it's pizza and beer time.

I just finsihed a 4-plus mile bicycle ride. According to my smart phone app, I burned 352 calories during my short ride. I need to replace those lost calories! Pizza and beer seem like a logical choice for a Friday night.
