Hey, Google+, we have to talk.

I don't mind the new layout so much, especially since it at least partially fixes the whole #whitespace  issue you had.

But I really really mind bad font rendering. And you've done something absolutely horrible to the font you use. And I can't seem to find the setting to fix it.

It looks like you are using a WOFF Roboto font. Which isn't horrible in theory, because the Roboto font isn't necessarily ugly. But whatever you are doing to render it should be illegal and counted as a crime against humanity.

Seriously, that's some nasty sh*t. This is the fuzziest font I have ever seen.

Maybe it's the WOFF rasterizer in Chrome that could suck dead baby donkeys through a straw?

Maybe it's that you scale the font size to be "resolution independent". Maybe you tested it on... more »

This show runs every Tuesday night at 10 o'clock on the Danish channel DR2. A completely naked woman standing in front of the eyes of two "judges" and millions of viewers.

For some, in Denmark and elsewhere, the show is humiliating, sexist and misogynist. But for the host Thomas Blachman, the concept is nothing but sexist:

"This is a way to discuss the aesthetics of a woman's body without allowing the conversation to become pornographic or PC (politically correct). "

Changing my gender to male on Google+ improved my What's Hot experience Google+ has updated how they distribute content to users through Explore

Earlier today, +Kimberly Chapman told me about a little experiment she'd done. She'd opened a tab on her browser and directed it to plus.google.com/explore, a stream that enables you to see the hottest content on Google+. In another tab, Chapman changed her gender on her Google+ profile from female to male, and then loaded the Explore page into another tab.
