It won't make me exactly popular (in certain circles) but I found this outing pedantic and tiresome. O'Brien is wont to be pedantic, indoctrination is his unhidden agenda but he usually does it in a much more palatable and engaging manner. 2/4 Stars

As our youngest turned 21 recently and as the lives of each of our adult children take flight in their divergent courses this year in a way that is unique frim other years and somehow absolute this quote from such a remarkable soul resonates. I hope it resonates for our kids as well.

Hello. +Lotus Carroll was kind enough to welcome me into the fold. It went like this:

[me] "I am interested in taking part" (in the 52 Weeks self portrait project)" and in joining the Art of Self Portraiture but I'm an artist not a photographer - while photography is an art my art is not photography. So, it may be outside the parameters of the project and Community but I'd be in if it were not ... if you follow :) - lemme know.  I may just take the 52 week challenge on regardless."

I am so far behind showing the painting progress. I have finished four between the last one and this one (obviously still in progress). This is number 6 in a series of 40 that will display as one work of art when I install it.

I realized this evening that I have laundered my copy of "Penguin Classics Selected Writings of Hildegard Bigen."

It's now a roughly football shaped mass of pulp. I was about half through the fascinating volume that I had well marked. Stupid of me. I won't be carrying any other books downstairs by tossing them in the laundry hamper.
