Two months in Indonesia, Laos and Thailand has been one of the most challenging and exciting periods in my life! I arrive home 6KGs lighter, minus a few dollars and possessions, but feel like I have gained far more than just a tan! Often I get asked which city was my favorite place? I don’t have an answer for this as it has always been influenced by the amazing people that I have met along the way. Overlooking the extreme (but loud) minority of opportunists and scammers, I found some of the most hard working, entrepreneurial and friendliest people; even through significant language and communication barriers and the presence of an equally small minority of ignorant and arrogant tourists. I leave with an understanding of the true value of money and I have been overwhelmed at the generosity of those who have far less than myself.

Very interesting research, particularly the final quote, though I would argue that if one viewed an exercise to be unfavorable, such as marking exams, the last paper could possibly be viewed the least favorable.
"He said the effect could also have negative consequences. For instance, the candidate who interviews first for a job may be viewed less favourably than the last in the room. And exam candidates may suffer from having their papers at the top of the pile for marking."
