1) hold my princess till she falls asleep then put her to bed
2) Have Bible devotional time with my son & get him to sleep

Sometimes I forget (or take for granted) all the reasons why I love POSIX/linux. It's good to have these little reminders of just how good it is.
dd tip of the day. When imaging a large device or writing a large amount of data with dd, you can easily monitor progress by sending the running dd process a USR1 signal like this (from the same or different terminal), or SIGINFO (on Mac)):
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/x bs=1M count=4096&
[1] 20606
$ kill -USR1 20606
583+0 records in
583+0 records out
611319808 bytes (611 MB) copied, 7.43783 s, 82.2 MB/s
##From the same terminal (or different terminal):
$ kill -USR1 20606
$ 1174+0 records in
1174+0 records out
1231028224 bytes (1.2 GB) copied, 16.0698 s, 76.6 MB/s
