The number of people following me (or following you) is actually irrelevant.

Here's why.

I've been watching the folks on the top 100 list. http://socialstatistics.com/

Most of these folks don't actually PARTICIPATE or put up good content. Heck, the number one guy hasn't even posted at all.

While it's great for my ego and brand to be on this list I really wish I had never seen these numbers. Why not? It puts in place a bad game.

Huh?

See, anytime there's numbers there's a game that evolves.

Humans love numbers and they love games.

So, why is this a bad game?

1. You can't win the game. Why? The deck is stacked against you. More on that in a second.

The controversial KIA's ad in comic style from Brazilian agency which won a Silver Lion at the Cannes Lions ad Festival 2011 (and withdrawn by Cannes Lions Festival a month later). Public said that the right panels of the comics is inappropriate. But hey, I think that's the essence of that ad: cute comic on the left panels and kinky comic on the right... good and evil... cool and hot... dual zone air conditioning, a different temperature on each side of the KIA's car. Maybe it's too extreme/inappropriate for an ad campaign, but I like what I can learn from the panels: just with different comic/visualization style we can have different interpretation, even in the same single story.
(Was tempted to draw the right panels with cute comic style :P)

WebcamStudio For GNU/Linux (http://www.ws4gl.org) creates a virtual webcam that can mix several video sources together. I used this to broadcast my desktop activities to Google Hangout where I help a friend with real time vector editing screencast/tutorial... or make some funny effects layers such as flames or alien mask :))
Hmm, looking forward to arrange a "comicstrip making" hangout.
