Does anybody have any experience with noise reduction or sound proofing windows? We're thinking of moving and found a house we really like, but it's about 300 meters from a major road with constant noise (not a highway, just a road, and there's no buffer between the house and road except for distance). The house has double pane windows already so the sound is pretty muted, but wanted to know if getting any soundproofing windows or triple pane would make it almost non-existent.

I need a new travel camera. My Panasonic Lumix GF-2 still works, but kind of bugs me. Does anyone have any ideas?  Not a DSLR, must fit easily in a backpack or a purse.  Doesn't have to be a micro 4/3 but that's a bonus so I can interchange my existing lenses.

So seriously, can somebody please tell me actually how to remove a feed? I select the feed, click "remove."  The UI interface pops up and says it's removed. I refresh. It's still in the list. I go to Organize instead, and click the "x" next to the name of the feed. The UI says "removed."  I refresh. It's still in the list. I've tried 3 different browsers on my Mac. I have several feeds I no longer want to see, and I've tried over the last month to remove all of them, to no avail.

I'm using Safari on my Mac. I'm unable to remove a subscribed RSS feed. I can go to the feed, click "unsubscribe," I get the "removed" message, but it never removes it from my list and never removes it from my feed. I can remove it from the current list it's in, but still shows up as "uncategorized".

Hi guys! I just got my Phantom last week, and it's incredibly addictive.  I've been taking some panos of my neighborhood to start with, but need to branch out.  I found these tutorials extremely help for post-processing especially if you want to do timelapse and turn them into panoramics.  http://tv.adobe.com/show/take-flight-into-the-adobe-creative-cloud/

My first pano (of our half of the cul-de-sac) with the Phantom/GoPro combination. I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out. I didn't have any issues with the horizon in this one (I did in one of my flooding panos because I tilted the GoPro down, but more on that later), and really like it. This was during a very very brief lull in the rain last Thursday, so you can see how wet everything is, and the ominous clouds.

Today my wisdom teeth came out. I get home, and notice the rain has stopped, it's actually sunny, and I have 1 battery for the Phantom fully charged. My mouth is still numb and I'm feeling ok from effect of the anesthesia, so I convince Leif to come down with me to fly for 5 minutes.

Did it better this time, angled camera more, and flew right over the water. Then the Vicodin started kicking in so I landed.

Photos forthcoming since our network is down and I only can post from my phone.

I'm nuts, right?

This is one of my first shots from my new DJI Phantom with the GoPro Hero 3.  It's been raining here in Colorado for 4 days straight, and everything is flooding.  We had a 30 minute break in any sort of drizzle/deluge so I took it outside to capture the "river" now behind the house.  Note that this "river" normally is a very very very dry creek bed.  This is unedited, and all that good stuff.

What can I do differently? Angle the camera down further so I won't have to edit out the props in post.  I have more room to fly more forward, however the big sea of water kind of freaked me out on my first time flying this.

Note: I have flown R/C helis in the past, and flew this at Photoshop World, so knew I could handle it.  I also took a video which turned out pretty well, but again, I'm going to edit that before posting.

When I started #lchf (thank you +Randal L. I found this interesting.  I've been doing the #lchf  diet for a couple of weeks, thanks to +Randal L. Schwartz.  I've had a couple of minor slips, nothing major, until the other day when at dinner at my favorite hamburger joint and splurged on not only cheese fries, but a Reese's malt.  That night, I not only was wired half the night (which sugar has never affected me like that), but felt all bloated and nasty the next morning.

I would've said it was coincidence except when at a Swedish midsummer party on a completely separate day I had some dessert, and had the exact same problem.  I've never had an issue with sugar affecting me like that, but it's interesting now that I'm cutting it out of my diet if I overdo it too much, it makes me feel like that.

I think I like this shot better than the holeshot photo I posted yesterday.  During 450 Moto #1, Justin Barcia (51) was the lap leader for the first 7 laps. This is during that time period, but he has Ryan Dungey coming up close behind him. Dungey ended up second while Barcia finished 3rd. #ThunderValley   #motocross

My friends might possibly remember I took the first photo last year while standing right next to the track in the holeshot, at Thunder Valley, and I vowed to never do that again. It was the single scariest thing I've ever done.  This year I stood behind the fence, and got the second photo. I do have more in the sequence, but I like this one, especially as it clearly shows Justin Barcia (51) winning the holeshot.  He went on to finish 3rd overall in the 450 moto.  Lesson learned, be safe, and still get good photos.

I'm going to post this one of my son.  Believe it or not, it was MUCH harder to do the panning shot when the rider was going slower than when he was going faster.

While I did not take any photos, but after sampling several flavors of cupcakes from The Cupcake Cupboard on the Freedom of the Seas, I'm happy to report to +William Beem and +Kalebra Kelby that it passed the "I really want more, this is awesome" test.  Considering I had to split every cupcake I bought with my 4 year old, too...

The cruise ship we're going on has a cupcake store on it. I immediately thought of +William Beem and +Kalebra Kelby. I'll make sure to take photos. ;). http://www.royalcaribbean.com/connect/videos/show-video/a-sweet-idea-cupcake-cupboard-on-royal-caribbean-delights/

I love doing the panning technique when I shoot motocross, so yesterday when we took our son out to ride his OSET, I decided to try it.  Believe it or not, when they're going slower, it's much harder to do. For me at least.  It's not just because you have to pan the camera slower, I don't know, it was just harder.

There are times when you're shooting, where the light isn't perfect, the conditions aren't perfect, you'd move somebody in the background since you can't necessarily move where you are, but you like the shot anyways.  This is one of those shots.  Just the look of complete concentration on my son's face, and the tongue hanging out makes me love it.

Messed around with Perfect B&W today. Pretty nice program, and makes it real easy to convert winter scenes into b&w.  In Colorado, especially in the suburbs, you have to be fast to get winter scenes. I took this yesterday morning. Around lunchtime, the cul-de-sac was melting, and by 2pm, the snow on the streets was all gone.
