Who in Seattle approved the naming of South Lake Union Transit development?  Even if the city doesn't officially use the acronym, the street car that serves it is known by the residents as the "slut".  Who let that happen?  I wanna see a picture.

Maybe I expect too much, but my belief is that "artistic temperament" is simply a lame and unjustifiable excuse for behaving badly.  Everyone is creative in their own way.  We have to learn discipline to live up to our word and our responsibilities.  Many times that takes more work than creating a piece of art.

Unfortunately it's not as much fun to do!

I do not claim to be a photographer -- certainly not anywhere close to the skill and artistry of +russ vallelunga or  many of the talented photogs I've come to know and love on G+ -- but this theme is intriguing, and I consider Russ to be a friend I've not yet met.  So I want to help kick off the new theme -- even if my  image is worth kicking to the curb!

Summer in San Diego.  Spider season.  For some reason, they love to build webs between the hedges that edge the steps down from my front door.  For the first person in or out in the morning or as the sun begins to set, it's definitely, "Heads up!"

The entire message was "Happy Birthday, Juli!" for our friend Rosanna's cousin.  Juli is undergoing chemo for bone cancer, and she is turning 17 tomorrow.  Rosanna and Juli's twin sister thought it would make a great birthday present if a bunch of people Juli might not even know sent photos of themselves with birthday wishes. This was Mina and Hugh's part of the project.  They were very proud and happy to help out.

Comic Con is in full swing in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. The young man below (I think his name is Clark), mild mannered Assistant General Manager for a great metropolitan burger joint, apparently heard something my ears couldn't detect as I was snapping his picture.  Street photography is ripe with the unexpected.
