Heard from  my doctor this morning, she has gotten the written results of my hour long MRI, and could inform me that I've got Bursitis, inflammation of joint sacks, on my left foot. From Wikipedia: "Inflammation of the bursae might also be caused by other inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and gout." Firmly back at square one then... We'll see what the specialist says in early June.

I love spring, but when it comes so quickly as it has here (we kinda skipped spring and went straight for summer), the pollen gets to be too much for my body. The last two days has been boring and painful. Now we are getting rain, and LOTS of it, way too much at once, there will be floods. I'm glad my house is far away from flowing water!

Boo gets away with murder with my husband as well. He loves to step around on your belly for what feels like ages, and being that cute, he is allowed. Pain is just part of living with cats! #caturday

+Amund Antonsen  was almost hit by a water bottle, thrown by someone in the breakaway, and he is sure he aimed! So am I, after seeing this photo out of my camera, where you can see him (nr 144,  Magnus Cort Nielsen from Team Cult Energy, busted! ;P) holding it over his head, ready to throw. It's not like there wasn't a lot of room to throw where no people where standing, and he flipped it OVER other riders to get at us. I would have taken it home if it had said Team Sky or something, but this one was delivered to the closest public dust bin. #glavatour   #cycling

Kids... and their lousy parents! Ringing the doorbell (scaring the cats), and then running away is the flavor of the month, and if they are chased by a large, half dressed man out of our yard they go cry to daddy. Waaah waaah waaah! She of course did not start crying (and by that I mean SCREAMING HER HEAD OFF) until she got TROUGH THE FRONT DOOR! And then daddy got angry, because... uh, I guess he didn't like that he isn't much good at parenting, or has a stupid kid. If he was a great parent his kid wouldn't do this kind of thing at all, and if she was smart she wouldn't do that kind of thing next door ;P

After hearing all the contestants in the Eurovision Song Contest this year I can't help but having really high hopes for a good result for the Norwegian song this year. It's so good it shouldn't even be in that circus of a contest ;P Video is from the semi finals in Norway.

I almost forgot to post a picture of Tiril, the third cat living with +Kjetil Skagset and +Anita Vinje! She usually has her mouth open in a scream, telling the world about how horrible her life is, even though she is just as spoiled as the rest of their pets. I don't feel the least sorry for her, and neither should anyone else!

Warning to all kitties: this is what happens to you if you don't take proper care of your fur! Poor Thomas... he has the worst kind of fur an outdoor kitty could have, it's almost hopeless for him to be able to keep it in order. Good thing he can't care less, he is a Pretty Kitty, no matter what. He has self esteem enough for about 5 cats! And as  you can see, he does not even flinch when +Anita Vinje goes to work with the clippers. It's attention. All attention is good ;P

I'd love to play around with the new Google+, but at this point I'm only ready to do one thing, make like Boo and go to sleep! I'll pick a more comfortable spot than him though, I'm no cat, I can't sleep comfortably just anywhere like they do! And I'll keep my limbs a bit closer to my body ;P

"Let's go to the movies, let's go see the staaaaaar.. trek!" Yes =) Good movie! I liked it a lot =) It takes a lot for me to actually go to the cinema, it's horribly expensive and not very comfortable, but we have found a way to survive when we just can't stay away. Today we shared a 499 seat theater with 17 other people, and got our favorite seats of course.

This is Frost (Sheltland Sheepdog with his fur coat mostly taken off so he won't overheat) and Frøya (most likely Papillion mix), two very excitable dogs =) It's really fun to be around these two, makes me miss having dogs in my home. They will eat almost anything, and beg for everything ;P +Anita Vinje gave raw onion to Frost, but he just chewed it a bit, I guess he found his limit there.

This fluffy kitty is Thomas, the cat that grew up at my house and then was sent to Ålesund to live with +Anita Vinje (and later +Kjetil Skagset). Found him as a tiny kitten on our doorstep, insisting that he was going inside. Being somewhere between 8 and 10 weeks, he of course got his wish, he had no business being outside in the first place, and finding a permanent home for him took about 20 seconds. But in the meantime he was at our house for months, learning everything a kitten shouldn't from our bunch of willing, badly behaved cat-uncles. I'm quite sure Thomas remembers us still, even though this is many years ago, especially the fact that my nails are long. Mmm, good scratches =) He acts just like Boo does when he is getting them! I don't really miss Thomas (good grief, he was a handful as a kitten...), but he will always be my special buddy! If he ever finds himself homeless againI... more »

This was what held me hostage in the bathroom while Pinot took my spot on the couch, a drooling Ivy, purring up a storm and loving me like I didn't know she could. The last time we visited she just looked at us for a couple of seconds from the top of the stairs and then left, but since then she has hit her head or something, becoming a loving kitty that likes visitors, especially those who knows where to scratch. You can see her drool quite clearly on the picture on the right ;P

+Amund Antonsen got a new friend in Ålesund this weekend =) More pictures to come from that trip, we have been shedded and drooled on by a lot of cuties this last few days! This is Pinot, she is a Cavalier/Tibetan mix. She took my spot on the couch while I was being held hostage in the bathroom (I've got pictures of that too ;P).

I've spent an hour in the MRI machine today, an hour of agony, my lower back totally HATED having to lay there. Anyway, I got pictures! Got a disc with a viewer and all =) My feet look... broken. I wish I knew how to read these.

Hello world. I am the silent one. At least I have been for a while. I haven't been feeling well lately, pain pain pain and a bit more pain, and then throw in some low self esteem after having to look at myself in the mirror while in pain pain pain and a bit more pain (it's making me look like a Stargate Atlantis Wraith), you really don't want to hear from me anyway. It's not like I'm pretty on a good day, but man oh man... 

Tomorrow I'm having an MRI of my feet, so today I'm eating bacon. It makes the pain worse, and perhaps easier to spot? I don't know if I'd like them to find anything, but it hurts like hell, so there is something there. Might as well be a kind of something that shows up on pictures for a change, for an easier diagnosis.

I love getting pretty mail, so I can't not decorate my own! The snails and airmail stamps are hand carved (bought on etsy), and the cat stamp is from Penny Black. I love Penny Black stamps! Usually I use decorative tape on the corners and add some stickers where there is room after the address and stamps are on too =)

More crafting frustration, what's the point of adding adhesive to scrapbooking letters if they don't even stick to paper? Only thing that sticks to them is cat hair, and it's not helpful ;P

Crafting anticlimax: spending 6 hours gathering the right patterns to combine (sorting trough about 100 magazines and leaflets) and finding the right supplies, and then having to wait at least a week for the items you don't already have to arrive in the mail. SIGH Cross stitching is so much more fun when you actually get to stitch! No matter how much thread I have, I never have what I need. 

If I had the money I'd go out and buy the missing thread tomorrow, but I don't, so I won't. Buying craft supplies in Norway is like throwing money away anyway. One skein of cross stitching thread costs almost $3 here (plus whatever gas you use), when ordering online it's less than $1, including shipping. You just have to wait...

So... well... uhm... I got myself into a closed beta test of Anno Online... (Damn you +Kjetil Skagset!) It's sucked me right in! Hmf. 

And the weather is nice, tried to soak up a few rays of sun today, while watching the neighbors redoing their veranda floor. Envious... Maybe next year we'll do ours, after abusing the old floor by throwing a wall we are taking out onto it this summer.

Dear Left Butt Cheek; What the hell? I can't remember someone kicking me, but you sure hurt just like it. I wouldn't even be surprised if it was black and blue... 

I want out of this body. We are not agreeing on anything! Especially not what I feel like the day after I've been out shopping for an hour. One hour! What's that, really? It's nothing. But for me it's way too much. I'm not allowed to have any fun. 

And what's up with the zit in my... lady parts? Ewh.

I don't think she should go back to the US, for her own safety. I'm sure a lot of the people who got hurt that day would like to "speak" to her about that "paint". Perhaps a room with soft walls is the only destination worthy of this woman.

THIS is why we spend quite a lot of money on the cat tree each year. Other than a different color, these are the same part, it's just that the cats have had access to the one on the left for a few months. Imagine this destruction on our sofa in stead of the tree... 

Our cat tree is from the Kattens No1 brand, a system where you can choose from a lot of different parts to put together a tree of your liking, and change out the parts when they are done for it. Ours is a simple straight up to the roof kind of tree, with hammocks on 3 levels. The cats love it, there is almost always at least one cat in it, 24/7. It's in front of the fireplace, and in the middle of our no-doors-living/dining/office/kitchen-space, the PERFECT spot!

I didn't? ... I did... All on sale, it's amazing how much stuff you can get for 400NOK if you get lucky. I'm sure this is 2000NOK worth of stuff, at least. But please, take my car keys away from me, I've not only bought this, but also a new dress (didn't really need that now did I?) and some other stuff I shouldn't have bought.

This. Been looking for a name for this condition I have for a while now! 

I don't have it as bad as the photo, but I have a patch on the tip/outside of my left pinky that annoys the crap out of me, it erupted under an hour ago. Two weeks ago I got another patch of it on the same finger, but on the inside and further down. That one is currently crusting and going away. I have this 10-12 times a year, always on my hands, usually fingers or on the sides of my palms. 

"Inherited, not contagious." Yeah. Probably that cause.

Oliver has lost his voice. FUCK YEAH! I can sleep tonight, even though he thinks that something is very wrong in this world. Like doors not opening when he wants them to, his favorite spot is taken,  he'll run out of food sometime next week, and so on. That cat is lucky he lives with people that put up with anything, just because he is cute. In normal households he would have found himself homeless.
