This is from my micro compter thing, only 92grams all included when flying.
Not exactly a "POD" but maybe a "FOD" flight of the day.. except in flight ternonology, FOD is "Foreign Object Damage"  Oh Well, its still MY FOD.!!!

Kinda feeling blue today, one of my friends deployed Monday, we spend the weekend "hanging out" "shooting guns" having a couple of beers and being guys.  "Misunderstand me right" I fucking hate some of the conflicts we are involved in right now.. but I respect and admire our war-fighters.

HA. did not realize this had posted to G+ by itself.. darn.
Short flight last night from the roof of my office.  
Having a really good time flying micro-FPV lately,  the thing is about 85grams. and unlike my commercial rig, its harmless. so I feel free to fly it anywhere.  the drawback is that the video tx is weak and I don't get strong clean signal, it can carry a 808 keycam, but only for a few minutes, I prefer flying with just the FPV cam and the vtx. recording is done with a stand alone solid-state DVR sitting on the ground next to me.

Quick Morning FPV
Flown with my 85g micro octo rig. 
Around the garden and over the Friday trash-collection truck.  

FPV is really a amazing new type of hobby, possible because of video transmitters in the 2-10g range. allowing me as the pilot to project my experience into flying the "airplane" remotely. the video goggles let me "look" out the window of the micro airplane, and fly it exactly as if I was onboard the airplane.

Rig is less than 3 ounces flying weight. about 9 inch side to side. 
This is a hevily modified Walkera SpaceWalker.
Flying time 5-6 minutes with this camera or 4 minutes with a keyring camera.

The action shoot this morning busted by LAPD
Edit - I was lying aerial camera for a indie, seems at some point somebody called 911 because they did seem a bunch of guys in tactical gear with assault rifles. The LAPD responded very quickly and with a lot of cars. I'm still thinking the must be some cool video from the PD overhead Helli. I'm really glad nobody got hurt. It almost did go wrong when they thought one actor was pointing a prop gun at them.

A bit of aerial nature video from Joshua Tree the other day.
Shot with my new GoPro HD Hero3 on the multirotor.
The day started all glum, but the sun picked up right before sunset.

Everything shot 1080p 24 medium wide setting. really wish I could shoot 2.7k with the medium wide setting, but guess that will have to wait for Hero4 :-)

One of the girls brought her Frenchie to work today. 
He seemed quite comfortable while she came to talk to me about something and he followed the conversation very carefully to make sure he would not miss any details (such as the word food)   so while we talked I reached for a camera and got away with this slightly fuzzy image. but hey, he looks all business and sharpness is overrated anyway.

Got the new iPro 2X lens last week and just realized I had yet to pop it on the iPad. Using the iPro2iPad mount. Very cool getting closer to the subject while keeping the resolution.  That said, the lens is softer than I had hoped, and also the iPad camera do not respond as well to the loss of light indoor as one might hope. resulting in far noisier images than what is possible with the new iPhone on the same lens. outdoor on the other hand, image quality picked up, though still softer than desirable.

Nothing like a rough-housing with a good friend. this was shot a good bit after sunset, these guys really come to life once the sun drops and the temperature cool down, Im guessing the prospect a dinner also help get them fired up... Unfortunately there each year are less of these little baby predators in Africa.

My dog Oreo (think black-white-black cookie) supervising me in the garden.  No she don't have green teeth, but was enjoying eating grass just before I took the picture. 
Oreo is whats known as a "symbiotic parasite" as she don't actually do anything useful, but she is crazy cute, and contribute to my life by being there and being cute.. I feed her in return.. seems we are both happy with the arrangement.  she do some of her most inspired work on my lab while having coffee on weekends.

I LOVE the blue hour, the slight light illuminating the sky after the sun sets balancing the towns lights.  This shot was captured with my Sony Clie palm organizer, proving that even back around 2000, whatever camera is handy is always the best.

WOW.. Just got this from UPS today.  Darn,  I dont know squat about the "hospitality" business. just started the hostel do be the way I would want it. and hey... must be doing something right. So fucking cool. Im stoked right now. www.stayonbeverly.com  really IS a TOP butique hostel in LA, who would have thought ...  5 years ago I would never have believed I would EVER proudly say "THATS my hostel"..  I bet they give these to everybody.

Ahhhh this is very very cool. breakfast room test this morning,  a bit shaky as the phone was completely handheld, but for all practical intents and purposes this is a pano-scan camera in a iPhone... 

EDIT a little more info for the panorama crazed like myself,  I did just now try this with a fisheye attachment and it works quite well also creating a spherical scan.. however the "magic" is parcially lost, as without the fisheye lens, the phone stabilize the up-down moves automatically. however the fisheye lens do not translate the same, so there end up being jitters in the edge.. however.. it is perfectly possible to do a hotel-quality scan with a fisheye with the phone taped to a lightstand and simply turning the top section of the lightstand..... so econo panoscan is here.  also. the phone will continue scanning for X seconds, so by turning slowly one actually get more resolution.COO... more »
