I've been away for a few days and come back to HUNDREDS of notifications!

Please, please everyone, don't directly share your albums/posts with people unless you really mean to...I'm simply inundated and it's taking me forever to wade through all of them....I've removed the photographer in question from my circles, but still I get notification of EVERYTHING he posts....is there any way to stop this?

My Saturday job is conducting handovers for a local narrowboat hire company, so in a couple of hours time I'll be sitting on that bench with a sandwich and a cup of tea, waiting for our guests to arrive....the perfect job!

A quick walk through the woods today and I've come home with a free dinner!

Wild garlic, currently growing in abundence in our local bluebell filled wood and along the river bank...the flowers are simply delicious added to salads, as are the leaves, which make the most wonderful mild garlic tasting soup.

Gather it while you can!

Why do you circle people? I ask because I've just found that over 4,700 people have circled me...why, I have absolutely no idea!

For me, I add people because I like their images, or their posts, and not simply to get huge numbers of followers...it's absolutely pointless!

I'm happy to say that the people I've circled are almost all regular contributors to G+, and above all, they interact with each other, offering advice, critique and encouragement.

I DID fall into the trap of adding everyone who circled me when I first started using Google+, but I've gradually whittled those down...phew! No more silly animated gifs or pointless YouTube videos!

I've now got a constant stream of good images and informative posts from people I respect.

So, what criteria do YOU use to determine who to circle?

Can somebody please explain what exactly the # and + are for? Well, I sort of know what they're for, but when do you use them? I've just spent ages trying to tag +UK Photography Community but I was using the # sign, so it didn't work! I know I'm being a bit dim, but can anyone help make it simple for me?

Help please? Has Google taken over my PC? I was browsing a forum when suddenly I couldn't connect. I shut down Firefox and restarted it, and now all my tabs except the one for G+ are saying "Problem Loading etc"...but, the strange thing is that the I can still get onto G+ and access/send emails via Gmail, so there's obviously nothing wrong with my internet connection. I've tried Chrome & IE and I'm getting exactly the same thing....strange!

Somewhere on here I saw a link to a Chrome extension that removed the awful black bars that seem to plague portrait photos...can anyone provide me the link? I'm reluctant to use Chrome, but I'm really finding that this awful black space is ruining my viewing. Better still, does anyone know of something that will work with Firefox?

I have struggled unsuccessfully to replace skies using PS Elements 10, but I managed this using #picmonkey in less than a minute! OK, I know it needs some work as the light along the top of the roof is wrong, but I'm just SO impressed! This programme is so sweet and easy to use!

I can see I'm going to waste the rest of the evening playing with it!

What's happened with the photos on here? I shared an album the other day and apart from the album showing in my stream, it also shows each individual photo in my profile. Makes it look as though I posted tons of bird photos and nothing else!

What the chuffing hell has happened????

My stream now only takes up less than half of the page now...I'm really not interested in "Trending on Google+", or "Hangouts" or "You may know", and I'm certainly not interested in playing silly games....I have a third of my screen full of this crap!

....and the chat box in the bottom right? Sheesh! I joined G+ to get away from Facebook, not use a clone of it!

I want my stream to be full of interesting content...I'm an adult...if I want extras like games and to find people then I'm old enough and intelligent enough to look for it myself without having it shoved in my face like this.

If I'd seen this layout when I first joined I wouldn't have touched it with a bargepole!
