So in an effort to be more healthy I am adding chia seeds to my diet in the form of chia gel......just like a dollop of frog eggs on my oatmeal.
Anyone have good ideas other than smoothie and salad sprinkles for this food?

At the end of each year I try to do something different to jog my brain and refresh my sanity. I was lucky enough to be invited to weave a basket with +Gin Petty who is so generous in sharing her knowledge. We harvested honeysuckle, steamed the vines, stripped the bark, dried and stored mostly neatly until we could make something. I call this my Wild Hair basket, the first of many I hope. She is a patient and careful teacher, accepting and encouraging....she even GAVE me some reed (shown) so I can try another material. AND make beer bread for sustenance, and pizza, she a whiz with bread too. Her husband says she's a carrier. I am happily infected, thank you.

Does anyone know a recipe or what one does with wax gourds? Also known as ash melons, fine prickly hairs over waxy layer on green fruit/vegetable. Grew it for fun. Have seen mention of petha, a kind of candied version? Have made pickles which were nice but I'm looking for a savory entree. When chunks are cooked it gets somewhat gelatinous. Any ideas?

Great Grey Owl is my favourite bird species and I have done a lot of photography with them in Finland. I also arrange workshops to photograph them when there is a good situation to photograph them!
