Curves of light
I haven't been on my game this week. Distracted by work (nothing new there) and thinking about the one image of curves that I couldn't bring myself to post ... ME! More curves than I'd like =P
Then I posted the curves of nature in a beautiful tree I saw last weekend. It wasn't until after I posted it that I thought it could have worked for the project. So, I pondered and as I was playing with light tonight, I realised I had my shot. Curves joined together. =)

When two becomes one
Two trees, grown so close together that they are now one. Reliant on the other for life. Perfect harmony. Sometimes it's ok to be so intertwined that life becomes a shared experience.

Donating his pay rise
"The Victorian senator, who was elected to parliament in 2010, has said he was "gobsmacked" by a pay increase for federal MPs last year, which saw him earn an extra $50,000 per year."
It's pretty impressive for a politician to act in this way. It'd be nice to see more standing up and saying they don't need more money (on top of their $190,000+/- salary!).

On the rails
The day is coming to an end, it's nearly time to face the daily battle with Melbourne's Metro rail system. That is, of course, if one can actually get to the platform after the challenge of 'touching on'. ~muttering about Myki under my breath~
No point getting all fired up about it though. I shall pop on the headphones, and thank which ever God you prefer, that I can at least travel home in a relatively warm and dry environment on this cold, dark, wet evening.

Because no one could possibly have said it yet ...
NEW G+ LAYOUT!
I'm liking it. I'm not one to bitch and moan. If it's shiny and new and pretty I'll likely go with the flow. I can live with this. Na wuckers... but It's going to take a little getting used to, and the first thing I'm already noticing, is the ease at which I am going to miss posts. My eyeballs can't keep up with three columns... yet!

I need YOUR help
I am trying to choose an image to have printed onto a canvas. This will be the first image of my own that I will have printed up and be proud enough to hang it on the wall in my home.
So I shortlisted. It was, admittedly, quite a surprising. I didn't expect to find many photos in my collection that I thought were print worthy. It was quite heartwarming (albeit I'm not 100% convinced on everything in this album).
The challenge though, is to choose just one!
Your opinions are welcomed!
What do you think?

My weekend took me to provincial New South Wales. I'll admit that I was not expecting much. There's not a great deal in Gandagai itself. Know for the 'Dog on the Tuckerbox' (http://goo.gl/YaYDy), the song, and the burial site of famed bushranger Captain Moonlight, there's little else there. An old regional town with a handful of pubs (of course), a footy team, and ... well no and really.
Little did I know that the whole area bursts into colour in the Autumn. The gold of Poplars, the lush green weeping willows, and the reds of flame trees, orchards of fruit trees and hills of grape vines. Al... more »

Food for the mind
"Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul"
-- Dorothy Day
For me, that's books. It's time out in a quite place full of stories. When I feel like I'm running on empty, and I need to refuel, a space like this recharges. Nourishing the mind, and rebooting to clear out the noise from a busy day, is as essential as a hearty meal.

No weather sealing, filters, etc are going to keep this stuff out.
It's a shame as the events look awesome and have huge potential for some spectacular shots... but you have to ask yourself, is it worth it? At the very least, if you're going to risk it, might I suggest some darn good insurance. =P
