What Am I?
I'm going for my Taiwan trip tomorrow for about ten days. Been quiet on G+ lately but I still got tons of goodies here. I'm excited about this creature. It was the first time I've seen it on anywhere and it really caught me by surprise..... I even have a video on it.
Could I make you people guess what this is? I'll show the video when I come back from Taiwan :)

What a head!
Last week, I've posted the Owl Caterpillar full length and a short video. Still not sure of it's identity's accuracy. Anyway here's the front view of it.
Hope you guys enjoy it.

The bushes near my apartment, its a haven for insects like leaf footed bugs, caterpillars, weevils, beetles and spiders....
2012-05-02 14:36:09 (6 comments, 0 reshares, 3 +1s)
This is my second attempt on getting a caterpillar to emerge as a winged one. There is approx 2000 pictures here over 36 hours, imaged quality reduced so the process will be lighter, attempted to create a time lapse video with all those photos using photoshop, av converter, and windows movie maker on a dual core 1.66ghz pc with 3gb ram without much success. Last attempt on Quick time pro and turns out fine. Video was done desperately with no captions, music and effects.

Owl or not?
Was walking home and passed by some hard leave bush along my apartment's walk way and encountered something moving back very fast as I came close. I turned the leaf over and found myself one hell of a weird looking caterpillar. Another dragon head? Well, I took some shots of it and later, decided anoter 2000 over shots of it...
I've tried to identify this one and came across someone's blog on it, found a name Owl butterfly but only 80% similar. Anyone has a good id on this one?
3 Photo stitched, quality reduced by web base picture processing since my favorite picnik has migrated away from flickr.

what's in my Galaxy Nexus GSM
I got many problems with facebook. But i seldom use fb, so i didnt bother mcuh abt it.
I've void my warranty when I unlock my bootloader stage, so I could modify other stages. I've replaced my recovery stage with a custom recovery "clockwork mod recovery" it helps to me to install (flash) custom stuff easily. I then flash my custom Rom(firmware) stage with cyanogen mod 9. As close to original with many additional settings. I've flash the kernel(main systems) with a custom kernal call franco r135 as it saves plenty of battery IMO.
You could use the guide below for reference.

I experienced the signal bug a few times today so I thought I'd look and see what I can find. So far I've seen two solutions that could work.
1. Script that needs to be run at every reboot
echo 0 > /sys/kernel/debug/smartreflex/sr_core/autocomp
2. Raise minimum frequency to 700mhz.
I'm going to implement the first fix in ROM Control and see if it works. I'll post a flashable RC for toro and maguro builds for testing.
aokp maguro build 31 flashable test fix: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/87565/AOK/aokp_maguro_b31_signaltestfix.zip
aokp toro build 31 flashable test fix:
Let me know if this fixes the issue if you try one of these. Also, make SURE you are on build 31, or you might run into issues.

One night, while walking around my mum's small garden, on a small Cherry Apply tree, was this tiny crab spider. This one is not the common yellow or white ones we see in the net. I'm not even sure if it's brown or orange or some thing in between, there are even black stripes on it's 4 front legs.
I was lazy for a while to get back on G+. +Tarun Bhushan gave me a little motivation there, Thanks buddy :)

Banchinae parasitic wasp
I was afraid when I spotted this wasp infront of me while chasing a Tiger beetle. Very afraid of it's long sting. But only later I've realized it was a ovipositor, use to insert into deep soil or wood to lay eggs.
I actually thought it was similar to +Chris Mallory 's fig wasp http://bit.ly/HgqGU0 . But it turned out to be different. Now waiting for +Paul Blackman to post his similar wasp.

and the silk flows out in twirls
As I mentioned earlier in the previous post, this guys "Pholcus phalangioides - daddy long-legs spider" are fast! I had so many attempt just to get 1 shot. He happened underneath the pen and I slowly left it on top of 2 bottles, quickly took my camera and snap away. Boy it was difficult because every time it turns upside down, and is near grounding, it will slowly let it's web out and lowered itself. I was lucky on 2 times.

What long legs you have, Daddy!
Pholcus phalangioides aslo known as daddy long-legs spider.
Apart from the White spider and Jumping spiders, this is the next most common spider found in my building / apartment. All over the place. As expected from them, they don't jump very well but they boy, they are fast runners!

Stop looking at my eyes!
Now what weird eyes you've got, fly! I've seen this fly a couple of times. It's another one that likes to eat bird's droppings i think. See it rubbing its hands, preparing for a meal!
Well, as for the name, I'm not too sure which one it falls under. So I've listed a few out.

Three horned tree hopper - Membracidae popped up when I search for tree hoppers. This hopper is just resting on a leaf after all this time I was shooting other insect. When I returned, he's still there, waiting for me to take a picture of him.

And what could be more weird than this grasshopper? I first spotted this near the end of 2010 and a couple of weeks later, another one. After that, I've never seen it again. This photo is from the second spotting. I think it is already in the adult stage.
After some searching around, this one's call Monkey Grasshopper
