#glass is definitely going mainstream. Today (Bay to Breakers) there were some girls with some self-made Glass and t-shirts with Google logos on the front and "Don't be a Glasshole" in the back. I am not sure if they were expecting +Robert Scoble there.

HDR with Google Glass - full article at http://goo.gl/wphnY
I'll repost the best bits here. I'm also sharing an all-Glass gallery below. Only that first shot is HDR, though. But I'm really loving this new headheld camera category and the kind of things I can do with Glass.
On This Week in Tech Today
I'll be on with +Leo Laporte , +Om Malik , and +Dwight Silverman today (Sunday) at 3 PM PT, 6 PM ET. You can watch live at http://live.twit.tv/ . If you're around Petaluma and want to say hi, stop by the TWIT Studio there! I'll be sharing some new photos from travels and the Glass. We'll probably also talk about stuff from Google I/O and other random tech geeky awesomeness...
HDR with Google Glass?
I think I figured something cool out, although it is an absolute hack. But, that's okay. I mean, if you can get th... more »

While I was at Google I/O, asked if I could visit the plant where Google Glass gets assembled, expecting the answer to be "no" or some variant of negative.
The answer instead was -- "Nobody has asked before. Let me see what I can do to make that happen. You really look like you're into the tech, and I don't see why not."
Why don't more companies and people respond that way? It's the heart of all geeks -- we want to know how things work, hack on them, and why things are the way they are.
So, I went home to Austin thinking that would be that.. but no! Lo, in my email inbox this morning is a note saying that they haven't forgotten my request, and are actively working on letting me see what goes into making Glass.
That kicks butt in so many ways.

The New York Times reported Thursday that President Obama frequently fantasizes to close aides about “going Bulworth,” a reference to the 1998 movie in which Sen. Jay Bulworth, played by Warren Beatty, drops all pretense and begins saying exactly what he thinks. So I asked a number of ex-Obama aides and political consultants what the president would say if he went Bulworth?

One of the "downsides" of working at Google is that I get to see really cool stuff before it launches, and can't tell anyone about it. The new Google Music streaming service is absolutely amazing -- one of the launches I've been most excited about in a long time. I highly recommend that everyone try it out. You can try it free for 30 days.

My multi-column experience
I see some people liking the new G+ layout and others going back to single-column.
I was initially set back by the multi-column layout, thought it was difficult to browse and generally felt like too much information was being thrown at me, but I decided to stick with it for a week and see what happened.
I got used to it pretty quickly and I think it looks way better than the single-column layout, so unless you hate it with a passion, I'd recommend to give it a fair try for a few days at least :)

Google I/O bartender will be a robot!
MIT eggheads invented a huge robot that tends bar, making a mind-boggling variety of drinks at super high speed.
Called the Makr Shakr, the robot is a re-programmed industrial robot controlled by smartphones that will be mixing cocktails at Google I/O tomorrow.
Google is an appropriate place for its public debut: The robot is reportedly capable of preparing approximately "one googol crowd-sourced drink combinations."
You have to download the app to order a drink.
Ever dedicated to exploring the frontiers of new technology, I will evaluate this innovation thoroughly.

Breaking: Swedish National Prosecutor says culture-sharing must be punished harshly by the courts, because "it funds terrorism".
In a remarkably ignorant statement, the Swedish National Prosecutor has appealed a culture-sharing sentence to the Supreme Court with the motivation that sharing culture and knowledge "funds terrorism". This follows a verdict from the Appeals Court that would have put an end to the witch-hunt of people sharing culture in Sweden, as it had handed out a sentence that was effectively too low to justify further persecution. In appealing to the Supreme Court, Kerstin Skarp of the Swedish National Prosecutor's Office has shown every conceivable bit of ivory-tower ignorance.

As you might know, almost every movie is shown dubbed in Spain. Yesterday, the best Spanish dubbing actor died.
He dubbed parts like:
- Roy Batty in Blade Runner
- Darth Vader in Star Wars
- Clint Eastwood's roles in Dirty Harry, Heartbreak Ridge and up to 30 other of his movies
- Terminator in Terminator 2
- William Shatner's voice in all the Star Trek movies
- Roger Moore's voice in 007 movies
- The Lion's King father
See the link for some videos (note: it might freak you out to see Clint Eastwood talk with a Spanish voice :P)
RIP
