PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS NOT FOR THIS SUNDAY, NOV. 25/12.

Theme: Bond, James Bond!

I want to see Selfy's that are inspired by 007 and the James Bond films. Lots exotic locations, action packed chases as well as numerous villains and sexy leading ladies to offer inspiration here. Or just stick to a more general "SPY" or cloak and dagger noire theme.

Either way it should be fun. Props may come in handy here!

The Halloween SSP was the scariest, most ghoulish, terrifying Selfy Sunday ever. The submissions were amazing. Well done everyone.

Theme: More Cowbell

You might ask exactly what does that theme entail. Well broadly speaking it is music . You can take it literally if you like too...if you have a cowbell, I am easy. But I am looking for musically inspired self portraits. That can be from a song lyric or it can include an instrument, or you on stage performing, whatever your fancy. I think you get it!

Yes we have a theme this week!
The Great Outdoors

Yes this theme will be very easy for some, since their selfies and being outdoors go hand in hand. For others, it's up from in front of the computer screen, grab that camera and head outside.
I am looking for something that is a selfy as well having some landscape photography flare to it ideally, I will leave it up to you to interpret it however you see fit

So here are the basics about Selfy Sunday. This is not an exhaustive list and will be added to and updated as time goes on. If your question is still not answered please feel free to ask either Jeff or myself. Thank you. ~Levi Moore

Q. Who can participate in the Selfy Sunday Project?
A. Any person on Google+ can participate in the official Selfy Sunday Project!

Q. Is Selfy Sunday every Sunday?
A. No. We host the official project every two weeks.

Q. What constitutes a "Selfy"?
A. A "Selfy" is a portrait of you in some fashion that was taken by you in some fashion. Examples; A picture of your shadow taken with a timer. A picture of you at a distance taken with a wireless remote. A picture of part of you taken with a cable release.

The challenge was issued; Take a self portrait of yourself and have it be SOOC (Straight Out Of the Camera). No editing, no cropping, not even any rotating. The only thing that can be done is a conversion to jpeg. And what happened? 174 people accepted this challenge and produced, what is in my opinion, the best collection of selfies of any Selfy Sunday Project!

Why do I feel this was the best collection to date? Because these people did more with less, worked more with less and showed more with less than for any other SSP.

I've been very proud of every single person that has ever had the courage to step out from behind their camera, step in front of it and say "Here I am, this is me" for all the world to see. For some this is easy, but for most this is a terrifying and almost unthinkable act and yet hundreds if not thousands have had that courage. I have seen people... more »

Understandably we're getting a lot of questions about what exactly we classify as SOOC for the upcoming theme for this Sunday's SSP. So to help everybody out this is what we'd like to have happen; Once the image has been taken the only thing you can do to it afterwards is convert it to jpeg format. Anything else done to it after it's been taken is not considered SOOC for the purposes of the SSP. I hope that helps with any questions you may have had. Really looking forward to seeing how you rock it out this Sunday.

Anything else done to it after it's been taken is not considered SOOC for the purposes of the SSP. I hope that helps with any questions you may have had. Today is NOT selfy Sunday but it is in one week. That's right, February 26th is the official Selfy Sunday Project and it has a theme too. The theme is SOOC which means Straight Out Of the Camera, so no editing can be done to the photo. It'll be challenging but we're looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Yet another Selfy Sunday Project where ALL that participated, rocked it hard. Thank you all so much for being so awesome and for making the SSP such an extremely awesome event.

So yesterday +Levi Moore leaked that the next SSP would have a theme and that theme started with an "S" and he was correct. So today we release what the theme will be in two weeks. We believe this theme will surely test the skills of everyone who participates in new and different. So without further ado, the theme for the next SSP is...SOOC. For those that may not be familiar with that, it means "Straight Out Of the Camera". That's right people, no processing, no editing just you and your camera. So have fun and we'll see you in two weeks.

Selfy Sunday Project Reminder

The Selfy Sunday Project (SSP) is open to every single person on Google+. The steps we ask you to follow in the FAQ are NOT to make it exclusive but to improve and enhance the entire experience for everyone who participates. +Jeff Smith and I are always happy to answer any question you may have about the project and between the two of us are available almost 24/7.

So +Jeff Smith and I were talking and we decided that the SSP on the 29th of this month will have a theme. Do you want to know what it is? Ok, here it is: Blurring the Lines. There you go. "What does that mean", you may ask. Well, it means exactly what you want it to. The interpretation is 100% up to you.
