Flying to Boston and then staying up in Salem, NH where we are having our CNV.com Inc company meetings for 2 days and 2 nights! Everyone works from home so people are flying in from all over. Interesting story about a woman with male chromosomes.
But this is very different from boys with boy chromosomes or girls with girl chromosomes who want to be the opposite sex. I think we need to be honest with those kids and tell them they are what they are and I would discourage those operations that mess with genitals.
there is nothing wrong with cross dressing, but still a cross dressed is a man posing as a woman and is not a woman. nothing wrong with that, but lets call a spade a spade.
It is a shame that this boy's parents lied to him/her her whole life. That discovery must have been difficult. Since she actually grew up without a penis and parents that told her she was a girl then although she technically is a boy, I guess she is also a girl :)

This debate is not over until the Fed says we are not in a crisis and they don't have to print billions per month to keep everything afloat. This cycle is not over until the printing stops and the Fed takes the printed money out of the system (or admits they won't take it out). To call the debate over now merely shows how little concern people have regarding the effects of printing money.

Cyprus went bankrupt and it turns out they need about 5 billion more than they thought just last week. In their efforts to raise money they are considering to sell their gold.
Central banks publically say that gold is a "risk asset" and government bonds are the safest bet. But in reality, they won't take Cyrus government debt, but they will take gold.
And Central banks bought gold in 2012 at rates not seen in 50 years.

Dropped my phone in the pool . .. stared it for 5 seconds and then jumped in and got it. Since i was soaked i gave it to Maya Levine and told her shake it hard (to get the water out) and put it in the oven at 300 degrees. I took it out about 20 minutes later and said "Oh no! It looks like I fried it!" The screen looked burned and I could barely hold it cuz it was so hot. A few hours later I put a battery in and it turned on! Screen is a bit burned in places, but otherwise its fine!! I immediately backed up all my photos and videos. Whew!

Los Angeles passed a law forcing companies to film porn with models wearing condoms. I wonder if people voted for this bill because they think they will change the porn industry by getting people to wear condoms in movies or whether they just wanted to get porn out of LA?
My guess is that forcing companies to use condoms will not work, they will just film elsewhere. But maybe that is what people really want. what do you think?

I am usually not super impressed by anyone, but this guy is a super smart MIT grad, with a successful business that does complex analytics, and he is a bit of a technology philosophyer.

The bank stress tests by the Federal reserve test banks against " a 50% drop in equities, a rise in unemployment to 12.1%, and a 20% decline in housing prices lasting for 2 years". Great but why not test against an increase in interest rates to 7% or an increase in inflation to 5%?
The Fed's answer to that would be that they don't test against those things because they won't happen. The Fed believes it controls interest rates and inflation, so why test against something they think they can control?
Unfortunately no one can control or manipulate markets indefinitely, not even the mighty US Federal Reserve!
Another reason they don't test against those variables is because they know the answer already - all banks go bankrupt. Our regulatory system has gotten all the banks to pile into government debt that pays about 1% interest. If rates or inflation go up, th... more »

The Federal reserve prints 85 Billion a month. 40 billion goes to buying mortgage backed securities from banks. Why is there zero information on which banks they are buying these securities from? We see headlines like Bank of America making a profit of a few billion and AIG made a profit of 9 billion. How much of that came from the Fed secretly bailing them out through these purchases? I wonder if the Fed is printing to buy securities from non-US banks too?
I would love to know, but no one is asking or seems to care and I can't find any information on it . . . Everyone talks about TARP and where that money went and how much to whom and whether it was paid back, etc. But we have absolutely no information on what the Federal Reserve's is doing with the 40 billion a month for mortgage backed securities.

Notice the comments under this yahoo article. I find it so rare that anyone agrees with me, but for some reason, most yahoo commenters are people who have a similar opinion to me. Yahoo commenters blame the government for ruining the economy and think government printing money is bad. This is such a rare opinion (and non-existent in this open community), but so prevalent on yahoo comments. not just this article, but I see it all the time on yahoo comments. Why is that?
