This is a terrific show. I think I like Kevin Spacey's Francis Underwood even better than Ian Richardson's Francis Urquhart from the original british version (which was great, too). Robin Wright is wonderful as his wife, and the rest of the cast are equally great.

Got this T-Shirt for my daughter for Christmas. Had to get a different size, and she finally got the new one today. (She refuses to allow me to post a pic of her in it, or any other pic of her. Yet she'll spam her Facebook with pics of her doing everything from studying to dripping soup on herself. Go figure.)

Why do people have such difficulty accepting that some people have different limitations than themselves and adjust their attitudes or expectations accordingly? Is it so hard to realize that if someone simply can't accomplish a certain task, or is unable to do something, then they shouldn't be asked or expected to do it? Repeatedly?

Happy End of Days! 

Eerily, this morning around 7am the skies here were orange! My daughter looked out the window and said "The apocalypse is here!" We laughed and she went outside to get a better look at the clouds at sunrise, ran back in shouting "Oh my god! Oh my god!" There was a huge full rainbow right over our house. Who knew the end of the world would come with Rainbows!? (She took a pic, which I'll post later today since she had to go to school before giving it to me.)

Hiya! I'm exclusively a PC Gamer (I actually did touch an Xbox and a Wii once... hated it!). I play all kinds of things, but right now I'm into SWTOR, Secret World, Borderlands 2, Just finished Primordia, and will be playing GW2 after Christmas. Nice to meetcha.

Is it just me or is this game more intense and exhausting than most MMOs? I find I need to take a break after a while as it's really wearing me out. But in a good way! I think because it doesn't completely hold your hand and you have to think and figure things out, plus some of the combats are very intense. Whew.

Oh my stars and garters, I've neglected to post my own intro. Chalk it up to a senior moment (though i'm not quite a senior yet... getting close).

I got started gaming sort of later in life than most gamers... not til I was about 19! I do remember seeing guys in High School playing D&D at lunch in one of the classrooms. The dice were sure funny-looking to me then. Now I have a collection of my own funny-looking dice of course.

My first computer game was the original Collossal Cave Adventure (back then it was just called Adventure) which I discovered on a computer at work and snuck on to play when no one was looking. I loved the exploration and adventure and especially trying to figure out what to do. I didn't have my own computer at that time (this was an old 8088 system with a Soroc terminal at work) so I didn't get as into computer gaming as I did tabletop... more »

The very first MMO I ever played was the original Everquest. I played a barbarian warrior. That was back in the day when people would just dump all kinds of loot on a female character. 

And now, I'm surprised to see that the original EQ is free to play. I had no idea it was even still going, with EQII out. Wow! I'm tempted to have a peek just for nostalgia's sake.

Hi, and thanks for the invite! I haven't played any tabletop RPGs in quite a while, though one day I hope to return to it when I actually have people to play with. 

I've been a gamer for far, far longer than I'd care to admit, even though I never RPed until I was around 19 or 20. I am old enough to remember when D&D first came out, and old enough to remember when it was still a miniatures ruleset called Chainmail.

I haven't played any of the more recent systems, but I really enjoyed MERP and the Rolemaster system (MERP was a simplified version of Rolemaster) back in the day. I still remember fondly the fumble charts from MERP. My fighter actually tried to jump atop a sarcophagus, fumbled his jump roll, cracked his knee on the thing, stumbled back and cracked his head on something else nearby, and that was the end of Hardin the fighter.
