Isn't it great being able to order stuff on-line? Of course it helps to be able to discern the difference between a floppy drive and an ATM. Note there are TWO Visa cards in this drive!!

Linux gaming: Steam > Unepic RPG game will head to Linux! - Daniel was just an average guy. He was a great videogame player, a big fan of sci-fi movies, and a novice RPG player. In the midst of an RPG, he was teleported to a castle. At first, Daniel believed that he was having a massive hallucination. http://ow.ly/2xBg4j

For all of you network admins here is a nice little list of tools you can use in your troubleshooting. We are partial to DNS Stuff but the others are very solid offerings as well.

My Udacity course is live. You all should enroll at https://www.udacity.com/course/cs046 and tell me what needs to get fixed. Attention to detail isn't what I'd like it to be.
But so what. I had a meeting with smart and important people from Stanford University and the German government today, the topic being online courses, and I casually said, no, I don't have myself recorded as some boring talking head giving a PowerPoint presentation. With my course, no talking heads. No bullet points. I ask a question every 90 seconds (often less), and it's very interactive and not like your traditional lecture at all. To me, that was nothing special--isn't that what we want to do instead of the kill-me-now 75 minute lecture? But the smart and important people seemed impressed. So, if you are wondering what the MOOC craze is all about, check it out.

Like clockwork: another month, another set of updates from KDE .. the consistency is wonderful. Thanks to the whole release team, including +Albert Astals Cid for taking a lead role there.

Another reason having all the source code is a good thing. It stops people being able to add spyware in places you really don't want it.

Hi everyone. I was invited by +ken morgan and I am very happy about it! I am trying to install on Arch Linux. I don't mind getting dirty trying to get this to work, but I am not sure where to start. I have tried "double click" nothing, in terminal sh Levinux\ on\ Linux.sh nothing, chmod +x Levinux\ on\ Linux.sh and again nothing. I read that it pulls down packages, does it use a package manager? Thanks for any assistance you can give.

Do you know what day tomorrow is? Well, do you?
Of course you do. As the loving hatchling you are, you are well aware of the fact that tomorrow is Mother's Day, and you are understandably worried about whether the quickly penned (and badly spelled) email to her is sufficient to cover your duties towards the person who pushed a huge honking egg through her cloaca (*).
Boy, are you in luck! Because nothing says "I love you" like installing a new experimental kernel on her machine, and being ready to stand by all day long in case any problems come up (**).
And by an incredible co-incidence, I just released v3.10-rc1, the newest and most exciting experimental kernel out there!
Ok, so if you're in Europe or Asia (or Australia/NZ - or in fact just about anywhere but the Americas), you need to really hop on it, but it's not yet too late to show ... more »
