As quite a few of my shots are 'moody' I'll start with a 'pretty'.
I was shooting long exposures of the glacier lagoon when a trail of 4x4's drove up and started shooting some campaign photography for a new board or wetsuit. Photographer, assistants, runners...the whole caboodle...oh and just little ole me... it would have been rude not to take a few snaps while I was waiting eh? :-)

A raw unprocessed image of this great mountain, 'all good things come to those who wait' couldn't be more apt than here in Iceland, a few hours earlier  I couldn't even see it as it was surrounded by mist, rain and fog... :-)

BIG PRINT GIVEAWAY VOL II - Square edition 

This month last year i passed the 10,000 followers mark and gave away 10 limited edition prints of my work (29 by the time I managed to stop my girls pulling names out of a hat) This year I'm amazed to have passed the 20k mark - I will give away 20 LE prints to whoever plusses, comments, shares, grunts… a pic of their choice in the album.

The picture selection is my most viewed images this past 12 months.

Again my daughters will use their special random algorithm (Involving pieces of paper and a hat :) to decide the winners and pick out the twenty people when i'm back from Iceland in the next few weeks

The colour prints will be printed on Kodak Metallic and the black and white on Hahnemuhle Matte Fine art paper.

Plus One Collection 2012 Book Update

Hot off the press

Finally had the first production copies hot off the press, I have to say that it looks fantastic. The fine art printing carried out by Oddi from Iceland is top class! 216 pages of 150gsm Finess Premium Silk with all images UV matt varnished - is really something to behold. The quality in both colour and mono reproductions are beautiful. 

Delivery
Dispatch of the books will be ready to send out in about 3 weeks, as the final shipment is winging it's way to +Ivan Makarov's garage as we speak! :) Anyone who wants to join Ivan in the pre shipping party, be sure to let him know, I'm sure he could do with your help!! 

Attached a few 'rough' images of the book, I assure you the book looks a lot better than these quick fired shots...

yeah...that 'tree' again. i make no apologies for another post. This being my favourite tree, I try to revisit at least once a week, maybe if i'm a little stressed - even more. If you get there at the right time to catch the sun setting, the light and shadows fall perfectly, almost enveloping the tree in it's surrounding darkness. Always my favourite time of the day to shoot it.

Probably like many photographers, I particularly hate seeing myself in photographs, I feel so confident behind the camera, but in front of it I literally turn to jelly. Inspired by the great +Nathan Wirth and to pay homage to his theme #zensunday  here I am for a full 3 minutes 20 seconds. :-)
