All its Art Deco grandeur and design seems to have been lost over the years as t gave way to modern looking signage and boring shop fronts.

On The Rocks +HQSP Monochrome curated by +Blake Harrold +Bill Wood #hqspmonochrome +Stone Saturday curated by +Jen Baptist +Antoine Berger #StoneSaturday #shadesat Curated by +Roy Ross :- I took this shot while waiting to see what the sun was going to do as it approached sunset. It was chilly and blustery and I had shrunk down to half my size behind a few rocks to try to shelter myself from the elements. Three attempts later I had managed to roll a cigarette and then took another eight or nine attempts to light it. It was at that point I decided to grab this image and make my way home. The sun, as it turned out decided to do nothing as it simply dropped down below the horizon without putting on a show of any kind!

I had walked half an hour or so to the village from the coast so the light was beginning to fail as I got nearer. This view and scene was too good to walk past without taking a shot.

Uploading & Posting Photos :- I am still fuming at how long it now takes to upload an image to an album and create a post. I will continue to lobby G+ and the people that run it , design it and control it to sort the damned thing out.
I dropped an image in today to upload and sat there watching the screen for 5 minutes before the upload actually started. I know it's not my system as everything is running as normal and working fine ... it's the new design and engine. It's clunky, laborious and a huge step backwards. I then had to search for my image because for some unknown reason it's being uploaded to the middle of an album. It needs sorting out and it needs to be done quickly before they start to lose people and some top photographers.
I loved it here and was posting three images on a daily basis, have built up over 20,000 followers since joining and met s... more »

The building looks ancient but it was in fact built in the 1930's. However, a pub called the King & Queen has stood on the site since 1779. This 18th-century pub was, in turn, converted from a former farmhouse and is now a Grade II listed building for its architectural and historical importance.

For Sale : Rudyard Kipling's House :- If you have a spare £1,650,000 which is $2,520,156 to hand you could find yourself living in a Grade II listed 18th century house that was once home to Rudyard Kipling. It's in the historical village of Rottingdean which is just down the road from where I am located. It has it's own private parking, 5 bedrooms and extensive cellars below the house including a workshop, original wine store and boiler room.

Bike and Basket +TurquoiseThursday curated by +Tatiana Parmeeva #TurquoiseThursday #ukpcphoto (South East) :- I have no idea why I keep photographing bicycles around the city but they have some sort of visual pull when I see one and find it hard to walk past without grabbing a shot. This one was wonderful as it had a real wicker basket on the front and was leaning up against the old Victorian iron railings of Brighton's seafront promenade with the English Channel in the background.

Glutton For Punishment :- Right ... I have had a break from G+ and like an idiot have come back to try again having put my white flag to one side. I have now managed to locate the image I uploaded earlier which seems to have fallen into a random position in it's rightful album making it far harder to locate in order for me to share it with you all. So I will now do my best to get the other images posted. The new G+ is thoroughly time consuming and a colossal waste of energy. We should not have to search for our images once they are uploaded. The new images should either be at the beginning of an album or at the end of an album and not somewhere in among all the other images within that album. Not so bad if the album only has 10 or 20 images in it but if (like me) you have over 500 it's one helluva pain in the butt and an immense strain on the eyesight looking for it. Anyway...keep me cover... more »

:- As far as I can work out this is a photo taken on March 11th 1988 just before a GAMUT gig upstairs at the Richmond in Brighton , England. I ma in the middle of the shot looking very young (22 at the time), the guy in virtual silhouette on the left is Rick (our bass player) and a friend of ours Neil is in white on the right. It looks like we were sharing a joke after setting up on stage before the public were let in.

Changes :- Love some of the new changes that have happened to G+ but what the hell have they done to Gchat? The new "Hangout" replacement is awful. out of the 15 on my list 9 of them I hardly ever talk to or hangout with. Three out of that 9 never use G+ and one out of that 9 is me. Why am I on the list? I have no intention of sending myself a message or wanting to chat or hangout with myself. There appears to be no way that you can change, replace or delete who's on the list so that entire part of G+ is now one huge waste of space for me. GChat was useful. I have found no use for this new version whatsoever.

Morning All :- Things I have already learnt today...
1 :- If it ain't broke it will be forever fixed because people always seem to think they know better than to listen and take heed to old adages.
2 :- It's now virtually impossible to find who's online and who's hanging out from your circles.
3 :- It's even harder finding one of your own posts from a year ago. I have tried several routes by typing in different things and it says there are no posts available matching that description. I even typed in the date of the post I was looking for and it came up blank.
4 :- There's not enough time or hours in the day to relearn everything and work out what the hell's going on.

Good morning Googlers :- Have just logged in and everything is still apparently out of whack in the G+ stream. Not off to a great start. There's no rational order to posts at all with everything being mixed up 2 am follows 9am follows 11 pm (yesterday) follows 10 am this morning etc. So once again I apologize in advance if I miss anyones posts. My comments, plus ones and viewing figures have dropped at an alarming rate. Hardly anyone seems to be seeing my posts at all. Doesn't look like they are in any rush to fix the situation which does make me wonder if it was indeed intentional (they do say that it wasn't). If it ain't broke...don't fix it.

High Above the Drive +My Town Tuesday curated by +Melanie Kintz +Jamie Furlong #mytowntuesday +Sea Tuesday curated by +Julia Anna Gospodarou #SeaTuesday +TransportTuesday curated by +Gene Bowker +Joe Paul +Michael Earley +Annie Irving #TransportTuesday #ukpcphoto (South East) :- Captured late April (2013) around 6 pm on Brighton seafront. The Victorian Madeira Lift / Elevator juts out from the upper Marine Parade thus allowing a unique viewpoint looking down onto the old terrace (built in 1890) and along the lower seafront road of Madeira Drive. To the right of the image you can see a few of the grand Regency, Georgian and Victorian buildings that look out over the English Channel. The Brighton Pier is caught in stark silhouette and looks relatively small from this deceiving viewpoint because it's actually a third of a mile long which is 524 metres or 1,719 ft.
