TEXAS CISPA BILL SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY VOTE

•Requires any Internet provider that serves Texans to hand over private communication and files.
•Sets no standard for warrants for such seizures, enabling arbitrary violations of Texans' privacy.
•Forces Internet providers to respond within 15-30, and sometimes 4-30 days, giving them almost no time to protect information not targeted.
•Makes it a crime for an officer, director or owner of a company to not comply with the request within the 15-30 day window.
•Opens up the door to politically-motivated seizures of online communication.

I just watched this at the urging of my wife. I am now quietly stunned. +Chris Hadfield you are one exceptional human being. The work you put into your time on the ISS has done more for human space flight and our poor Earth bound understanding of it than any other human being in my 56 year experience. A grand kudos to you, and I urge everyone to view this flick.

OK, here's the deal.

I'm a multitasker. This is a problem. How? It means I do a lot of stuff at once but accomplish very little.

That being said, I will seek to remedy this by doing something I have never done before: singletasking.

May will be the month of Getting Shit Done.

Starting tomorrow, I will be cleaning my room. It will get done when it gets done, but it will get done.

When I am satisfied, I will get editing. The editing is for publication, so it's more important than writing at the moment. (Sorry guys.)

After that, I will set up a genuine schedule. A real one. That I can hold on to.

Because I have a lot to do, the internet has taken over my time, and I am sure you folks would like to see me actually accomplish something.

God's Reach was an ivory city, all white brick and flickering torches. Built on a large mound, the walls that encircled it seperated weak from poor, skilled worker from manual laborer, and nobility from peasant as you went lower into the surrounding valleys.

I'm pretty sure this one has to be one of my California State Fair entries, and I've decided that just for fun, I'm going to give away a copy of each one I choose to submit.  So, look for a couple of others in the next day or so (the deadline is Friday)

So if you'd like to have this on your wall - for free, anywhere in the world that I can legally ship to - I have but two rules:
One - comment on this thread.  I use random.org to generate numbers, and it's just a halluva lot easier if I have to pull names from one place.

So, I wrote this some time ago for +Azmaria Dei Post.

I don't remember what I was thinking; nothing really stands out about the process. It was from my third collection.

Now, it will get a reading, because it is a good story with a lot of possibilities for a longer story. Not this in itself, but the concept does have legs.

A lot of my stories are like that, though.

Just wait until I start working on my novel. We gonna have fun!

Okay, I'm going to put this out here again because.. well I think the idea has a crap ton of potential.

if you haven't read Garden Wars go do it, I'll wait here.

Done, good.  Now tell me that wouldn't make a freaking AWESOME comic.  Print or web.

The glitch?  I don't have an artist.  I want one.  I need one.  I mean I can draw but I think Quercus and Rudbeckia will look much better as something other than stick figures.

So... interested?  Know someone who might be?  I have a total of 12 episodes (the link is just the first 3) presently written and undergoing revamp and editing.  There are many, many more in my head and plotted on paper. 

And I imagine each episode would take several comics to do up right.

So come on, what do you say!  Let's get Garden Wars artified!
