EU officials in the new Brexit team - (the EU side), have drawn up a Brexit bill totalling £46bn-£51bn,

The bill would cover the UK’s share of EU staff pensions, unpaid bills on infrastructure projects, and the cost of decommissioning nuclear power plants etc.

Thats over ten years of what used to be our 'membership fee'.... so assuming that the UK economy isn't damaged by Brexit (two hopes there - no hope and Bob Hope) then it'll be 2030 before we break even on this particular bill.

Then there is the £60bn estimate of the Governmental bill of leaving the EU, there is another decade plus and we are at 2040 before we break even.

maybe take into account a possible loss of £200 billion of FDI (thats around 20% of one years FDI spread over a 20 year period), and it'll be 2060 before we break even...... more »

The year 2060! And thats still assuming that the economy doesnt get very badly damaged and we continue to have minimal growth of around 0.6% per quarter!
