Last Sunday I took a drive up through the mountains near Lake Almanor (California). Here is a little stream I ran into along the side of the road.  As I was taking the photo the sun came out and lighted this tiny bunch of grass growing on the moss covered rock.

Turkeys Strutting at Sunrise. 
Just as the sun was coming up I spotted these Wild Turkeys all fanned out strutting for the females.

I took this photo while walking through Jodhpur with my daughter.  This is in a section called “The Blue City”.  Many of the houses are painted a light blue and are generally where the highest cast of Hindus live referred to as “Brahmins” and traditionally were priests and town leaders.  The blue color is commonly associated with royalty and power.

This mother quail wandered into my back yard with a dozen young pecking around the grass guarding them closely.  I wanted  to go do some bird photography today but there were other priorities at home so was overjoyed to still fit some photography in plus get to watch them run around the yard for quite some time. #landscapephotography +Landscape Photography curated by +Margaret Tompkins

Indian Falls on the Feather River in Plumas County,  California.  I used to go here and swim as a child.  It was a climb down a steep bank to get in.  I was very surprised to find a well groomed trail that is a short walk down into the falls. #waterfallwednesday #landscapephotography +Landscape Photography curated by +Margaret Tompkins
