There is nothing quite like trance music according to veteran DJ-producer ATB, who boasts more than 20 years of experience in the electronic dance arena.

The 40-year-old German, whose real name is Andre Tanneberger, has built up a reputation for himself as a trance maestro with hypnotic hits such as Ecstasy, 9pm (Till I Come), and The Fields of Love.

Emma Hewitt Talks Knife Party, the Future of Trance and More!

The angelic vocals of Emma Hewitt have graced some of the most iconic trance tracks over the last few years. She has worked with the biggest names in electronic music and performed at venues around the world. Emma was nice enough to answer a few questions for us about her production process, the future of trance music and more!

What is the process for collaborating with a producer? Do you just get the track then send them vocals or do you actually get to be in the studio with them?

It depends on the individual situation.  Often the producer will send me an instrumental demo idea for a track, like in the case of “Waiting”  Other times my brother and I will write a song with a piano or guitar, record the vocal this way in an acoustic format and send this through to the producer.  We did this with “Be YourSound”  ... more »

German DJ Markus Schulz mixes progressive trance with house. Know for varying his sets according to the crowd's temperature, so far this year, he has performed at Ultra Music Festival and Beyond Wonderland, and is currently on tour promoting his latest album, Scream. Saturday night at the Avalon was the tour's finale, and we were there.

Before the show, the press got a chance to speak with Schulz about his upcoming Scream II album due out this fall. "I have been listening to a lot of classic rock lately," he said. "Before the Scream tour I studied Dark Side of the Moon."

As for the show itself, weed smoke pervaded all night long. The crowd was a mix of casual and folks who were dressed to impress. Regardless, everyone was dancing.

Super8 & Tab – L.A. (The Remixes).

First shown on the Anjunabeats Volume 10 Compilation CD, L.A. has been quite the impressive cut from Finnish producers Super8 & Tab. The Original offered cool, low cut Progressive Trance-esque basslines and euphoric pads/vocals to transition into a wonderfully orchestrated drop with heavenly synth lines and highly emotional melodic ideas.

And now, we are finally treated to two highly impressive remixes from producers Juventa and BT. Offering completely different takes upon the Original, both artists fantastically take this melodic tune and rework it to incorporate their own styles to produce radically different results.

Revelation party energizes Palladium Dance Club.

MANILA -- Palladium launches its new interiors with a party featuring female-vixen DJ HeavyGrinder, Alchemic Storm and Universo-Robot.

I dropped by Palladium's Revelation event to hang out with their guest DJs and check out the newly renovated club.

Bobbie Merveille aka DJ HeavyGrinder is a Japanese-American DJ producer known for her metal-electro music.

She grew up in Japan for nine years where she became an active model and actress.

"I got into music and vocal training in Japan. But I found my true calling as a DJ when I reached 17 years old. A few years after, we moved to the States," said Merveille.

According to Merveille, her metal-electro sound is a fusion of electronic progressive house dance music and rock metal.
