The furniture are the walls, the stair, the bookshelves and the structure.
The thermo walls are 17" x 9' x 24' SIP from Murus, R60 for the walls and R75 for the ceiling. The envelop is seal with Cat 5, Jiont Seal, Fast Flash and Air Daw from R-Guard.
The Optiwin windows 3 woods, triple glazes, interior swing, U=.125.
The 2" custom shutter are made with a 1" rigid insulation, R=30 from Vacupor.
The cedar siding is seal with cedar shield wood preservative exterior wall finish.
All fasteners are stainless steel.
The interior framing; roof decking, roof rafters, floor joist, wall framing and floor are made of rough pine lumber treated with natural wax.

Following the SIP envelop, this is the interior framing. The interior framing isn't a platform framing or a balloon framing system. The interior framing is support by the SIP envelop. All the elements of the interior framing are fabricated with exposed rough lumber including the floors. "Thermos Framing" is produce with SIP by removing all the thermal bridge, any additional structural elements are added either on the exterior surface or the interior of the "Thermos".

The SIP panels are ready, 17 panels of 10'-0" x 24'-0" x 8.25" for the walls and 6 panels 10.25" for the roof

HOMMAGE À MELVIN CHARNEY PAR SES ÉLÈVES
Montreal, January 21, 2013 - The Centre d’exposition de l’Université de Montréal and the École
d’architecture is pleased to present the exhibition Vive la Ville! Hommage à Melvin Charney par
ses élèves from January 30 to March 17, 2013. The opening will take place on January 30 at
5:30 pm.
The fifty odd works in this exhibition, framed by photography of Montreal’s landscapes - tacit
references to the writings of the master - seek to demonstrate the importance of the teaching
and the thought of Melvin Charney, while demonstrating the diversity of lessons gleaned from
his teaching and its many ramifications, and thereby showing the ever contemporary alliance of
life, architecture and the city.
