Google Continues to Lead the Way
Another project from Google's lab X is being tested in Tekapo, New Zealand. Google plans to launch balloons 12 miles high into the stratosphere that will help to bring the Internet to 4.8 billion people currently not connected.

Like A Boss!

I love Roasted Red Pepper Crostini.  One of our favorite restaurants on Revere Beach "Antonia's" use to have this as an appetizer.  It seems that when ever I love something in a store or restaurant it disappears.  So, I decided to make my own and they were better than theirs.   This is so easy to make and it only take 5 minutes in the oven.    They are supper delicious.

Here is the recipe and how to prepare them.  

Prep Time 15 min  Total Time 25 min  Servings 18
Ingredients

18 slices Italian bread, 1/2 inch thick
2   large tomatoes, diced (2 cups)
1   jar (7 ounces) roasted red bell peppers, drained and chopped
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Buzzy - Sleep Flying (like "Super-Cat")
Our cat Buzzy, whose head is stuffed against the chair-arm with his "super-cat" flying "arms" extended. No doubt, Buzzy in his dream is flying over his extensive land holdings to survey them for a potential new resting spot. Haha. (We took this photo a couple of years ago, but Buzzy is frequently seen in this position when in his favorite chair, which also happens to be my favorite chair — a chair i seldom have a chance to sit in, because King Buzzy is there.)

Theoretical Physicists claim they found proof that Black Holes are entrances to other Universes!

Why new Gmail is way better than Outlook.com

It all comes down to spam. Oh, and noise. 

See, while Microsoft keeps attacking Google for having algorithms look at your email (Microsoft claims that's done to show you ads) Google keeps improving its algorithms.

All I have to do is look at my wife's Outlook.com account to see what's wrong: there's a LOT more spam in her inbox than on either her or my Gmail account. This is also verified by looking at other people's accounts too. Gmail's spam filtering is far superior, which really matters when you are someone like me who has made their email address public.

My public account gets 300x more spam than my wife's Outlook.com account, but less of it, far less, shows up in my inbox. That's superior.

Happy Birthday: Ralph Waldo Emerson
If Emerson were alive today, he'd be 210, as he was born on May 25, 1803. Emerson was born in my adopted hometown, Boston, MA. He was a good friend of both Henry David Thoreau and Nathaniel Hawthorne. 

Emerson was "staunchly anti-slavery," gave a number of speeches and lectures on the subject, and welcomed John Brown to his home (Brown is recognized by historians as playing a major role in the start of the Civil War, as Brown believed armed insurrection was the only way to overthrow the institution of slavery). 

Emerson died at age 78 after having a successful career as a public lecturer (giving more than 1,500 across the U.S.) and an essayist.
