The three towers Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Shanghai Tower raises quite a bit above the buildings surrounding them even though a lot of them reaches hundreds of meters.

I had a small photowalk by myself Yesterday evening. Or well, wife and son was with my, but I was doing most of the photography. We visited Norrköping, sister town to my home town Linköping. The central part of Norrköping is home to an old industrial landscape that has now been transformed into museums, restaurants, culture and high tech companies. It's a great place to walk around!

In Parque del Oeste, Madrid there is a great view of the sunset. Lots of people gather every night to watch it. Combined with a fountain in front you get a great photo.

This is from just a year ago. We had crocuses, bumblebees, butterflies and frogs. This year? 12 inches of snow. I want spring now!

Kovik chapel is a tiny, tiny church on the Swedish island Gotland. Gotland is a very beautiful and interesting place, with lots of characteristics that are quite similar to the Mediterranean area, likely due to all the limestone. Go there if you have the opportunity!

Red barns, you find them all over Sweden. These have a very nice backdrop of grey clouds, with a soft sunlight on the barns and the field in front of them. This is one of my favorite photos that I return to now and then. Usually I tend to re-edit old photos, but this one has stayed the same:-)

It is quite an old photo, I shot it 2005 with my first DSLR, the EOS 300D. Edited in Lightroom.

This is my best sharing circle on Google. and I love all of them!
It mean a lot to me than any circle I've been shared.

About this circle: 
we all with each other since 2012. I can say that they are my most wonderful friends! Some of them are with me since day one I was here.
They prayers for my dog when my dog Gigi was hit by a car.
They said "Get well soon" when I was sick.
They said "Happy Birthday" when the day was the most important day to me.

Although each of us have so many friends here. sometimes we've been busy, and we don't have time to visit each other's page. even once for a while, we are still with each others.

Tell me, How can I don't love them?

The Af Chapman is a hostel in Stockholm. It's a beautiful boat in a wonderful place. If you want to visit Stockholm, this could be a rather cheap alternative for a place to sleep.

Sitting at work I realized that the sun was setting and that there was this great mist rolling in. A quick drive and I was all set to capture some interesting photos:-). Of course it was one of those reeeallly cold days that leave you with frozen fingers. With some great photos it's worth it!

In the evening the Yan'an and North-South elevated roads in Shanghai light up with blue neon lights. Gives lots of interesting photo opportunities that I unfortunately didn't have much time to explore. I have to give the intersection between these to elevated roads a visit next time, there are so many roads and ramps there:-)

The Church of the Savior on Blood can look absolutely astonishing (https://plus.google.com/photos/117459925640711320774/albums/5679707520212744241/5765449814952588114). This photo however shows a grey winter day. Cars, powerlines, people and grey, grey, grey. Not really the same beauty, but you can of course see the potential:-).

Santa María la Real de La Almudena, the cathedral in Madrid, really is a good target for night photography. It's also well worth a visit inside. Don't forget to go below and visit the crypt also, there's an amazing amount of marble pillars there.

Today I'm going for a short trip to St Petersburg. Will be my fourth visit there, but the first with real winter.

This photo is from my first visit. The Smolny Cathedral is one of many beautiful churches. Typically they are very colorful and this one has an astonishing blue color.

At the time I was very HDRish, so this is probably not what a photo would look like if it was done today:-)

Got myself a new camera today. Going total retro with a wooden pinhole camera for 120 film:-) It's a Natasha 612 from Taiwan. I'm quite sure it will take some time before I have any photos to publish so I will keep on publishing my regular digital photos for you to enjoy (or hate if that's your preference) ;-)

Things doesn't always have to be so full of colors (as most of my photography is) to be beautiful. On the contrary, sometimes a very grey day where you can barely see the trees can give you the most beautiful photos!

This is an old textile factory in Norrköping, close to my hometown Linköping. Nowadays it's a museum, and most of the surrounding old factories have been restored and given new duties in life. It's a very nice area, with lots of photography opportunities.

From the Parque del Oeste by the Templo de Debod in Madrid, you have a great view. People gather to watch the sunset and you can understand why when you see it:-)

Photography details for this one is maybe a bit unusual. It's shot with a Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 IS USM at 200 mm, ISO 100, f7.1 and 1/1600 shutter. Exposure was set to -2EV.

We did it!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Looks like we made our goal of raising $25,000 for book publication of #plusonecollection2012. $10,000 of that came in just the last 24 hours. Wow!

Who was there at the finish line? Turns out we had a photo finish and a tie between two great dudes. First there was +Erik Giberti who donated $50. I know Erik! We work together at +SmugMug. He's one of our super talented engineers. Then there was +Eric Bass who donated $33 at the exact same time. Good job guys!!! Special high five to you, and go give them a follow. And my guess +Sam Breach was trying to do the same - so big high five to her as well.

Now that you know, we really need to up our fundraising. We have just 9 days to make print book possible, but we're only 55% there. Quite a mountain to climb.

As you asked, we're making cheaper version of the book available at $99 or $125 if you live outside US. You can also contribute directly, aka "open contribution." I still think Limited Edition is best because you get a collector's version of the book, a beautiful print and you're maximizing your contribution, but if it's too much, you now have other options.

The last days have been really cold, with an interesting mix of sun, clouds and mist. Lot's of good photo opportunities, except for the freezing cold. I make short (say 5 minutes) trips outside and get a bunch of photos. Then I go inside and edit or shoot some cat photos:-)

This weekend we have a visitor. She's just 14 weeks old and full of energy. Smille (one of the older cats) has taken up an interest and is playing all the time. A bit rough though, so we need to keep an eye on them.

Since it's freezing cold outside it's good to have something indoors that keeps you busy:-)
