We always want to see a better reflection of ourselves whether we look in a mirror or in someone else's eyes. No one looks in the mirror hoping to see something worse than they desire. So, how much do we invest in what we want to see? Remember a reflection is all that it is, a reflection, a playback of the original. If you are in a dire situation and your reflection is not what you want it to be, a mirror is always going to be there, go rebuild and take another look. However; remember, in the midst of building, do not forget character, it is the greatest treasure one will ever have.

I have some wonderful people in my circles and a whole lot circle me as well. Each day I post I am very supported by you all and I appreciate it much, very much. I wish I had the time to visit all of you and sit and chat with you on your posts, but it is not really possible. On may 15 it was +Alan Shapiro  birthday and I could not figure out how to honor him with a picture. Today, after much trouble, I settled on this one,  and to show how much I respect and like his work I attempt to  do something similar to what he does....(sometimes) since he is so diverse and creative. On this mother's day, A wonderful day to all the moms who sacrifice so much for us.  There are also some men who act both as a mother and a father. I know most times we always hear of single moms, but there are awesome single fathers out there too. So, HAPPY MOTHER'S  DAY to those dual role fathers too.
  I met this man last year with his only daughter. He was abandoned by his younger wife but he kept it strong for his daughter whom he loves so much.

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in selfishness, anger and unforgiveness to the point that we take encouraging, loving gestures, and words said to us as swords with sharp edges. Until we uncurl and embrace, we would live and die as if no one cares. The hatred, anger, and resentment you may harbor towards another may not be the same in their heart. You can save a lot of pain if you only forgive. Open up a little, if only for your heart sake.

Red haired storm
I went to a University I applied to last semester for a medical result. Upon stepping out of my car I saw these two wonderful people coming towards their car. I like the look of the girl so I asked for a picture and she was so kind to say yes. I took a few and asked if they are friends. 'We are girlfriend and boyfriend", she said. When I heard that I asked for two shots and they were seamless. I did not really  do any editing on these except for touch ups. They are as you see them. I think they are beautiful.

You do not always need to know someone to open your arms and heart to them. It is at times a risk, but sometimes a risk that will enrich your daily life. Each of us want to feel belong, to feel accepted, warm and appreciated. Robbing someone of those small gestures can sometimes create a ripple effect, that was not intended. A wonderful friend of mine said to me last night in a conversation that alone does not mean one has to be lonely. There are many, many times we seek the approval of others so we can feel appreciated, accepted and loved. Sometimes you will not get either and you will often times be taken for granted especially if you have a soft heart. But as long as you are happy with yourself and with what you do, your inside will be so happy you would not imagine. Your heart will be continuously warm.  That is why it is imperative that you take care of yourself.

Those that made themselves vulnerable are the ones that sometimes are taken advantage of. They are vulnerable not because they really are, but because they care, because they chose to. We all have a choice when someone take the time to sit with us, we can cherish it or trample on the gesture. Also, when someone takes advantage of your vulnerability, do not give up, it does not mean you are weak because it take great strength to open your heart and let someone in.

Today I went in a gas station to get some gas, when I went in and was kidding  and laughing with the manager who I never met before. I got the gas and went back for the change and he continued the fun. We both had and good laugh and I left. You do not need to know someone to smile or share a laugh. What you do today might just grow into a great and wonderful tree that will show those who will follow in your footsteps that they can smile with people too, stranger or not.

Wisteria Season

I live for this time of year, and the glory of the wisteria hanging off my front porch.

I first saw this house 13 summers ago, at the height of wisteria season. Is it any wonder I fell in love?

I learned through trial and error how to prune the vine to get the best blooms (and keep it from pulling down the porch or gutters); two summers ago I had the house painted in shades of mauve and purple to match. Weather cooperating, the blooms will last a few weeks, and slowly be replaced by a dense canopy of leafy fronds that make the porch a shady refuge from the summer heat.

This is part of today's happy
The innocence of a young soul has so much potential. The eyes are waiting to see, ears to listen, and feet to follow. There is so much a family can do to society by the nurturing of one child. The time the father spends with the child to the little talk the mother have with such a tender being. The good of our world start somewhere and most times that place is the home's influence. 

I saw this family today and I could not resist talking with them, they are so warm. This child's face is perfect, there is nothing I could do to it. I cannot wait to meet them again
