21 & Over

Just an FYI to attendees - the Opening Event has been changed to a 21+ event as Google wants to make sure we don't have any issues with alcohol and under age attendees. The info was changed a few weeks ago via our site, but wanted to give everyone a head's up.

Our apologies to the 18 & over attendees that planned on going, but there is still Friday, Saturday & Sunday! Luckily there were only a few that filled out the form and they are from Chicago.

Sorry for any inconveniences!

How many of you plan on joining us for the Photo Walk on Friday morning??

We will meet at Navy Pier at 9:30am - here you can take images, grab a bite to eat and a coffee to start your day. Then we'll walk over to Wendella Boat Tours to take the Architectural Boat Ride - I have heard it's magnificent! ^_^

From there we will head to the iconic halls of Union Station, Willis Tower, The Bean, Art Institute for the Lichtenstein exhibit and if you've never experienced Chicago's Pride Weekend - you are in for a treat!

From Millenium Park we will hop on the Red Line Subway up to Halsted and Waveland for Chicago's Pride Fest - you definitely have not seen anything like this - you will be glad you have your camera! So much fun!

Following the Opening Event at Google we will have the After Party at LaSalle Power Co. There will be DJ's spinning, drinks and more!

The After Party will start upon our arrival after we leave from Google, so we'll say around 10:15'ish and will last until 2am!

I think that we should share another Artist on exhibit at the +Chicago HIP : Jonah Ortiz

Jonah has a great mixture of illustrative mediums and a very "balanced" way of displaying his talents through sculptures. I find myself studying them for a long time.

Losing one's self in a work of art is a beautiful thing.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS/CREATIVES ATTENDING THE CHIP2012

As you may know, the CHIP is sneaking upon us in just over a month, June 21st-24th.

What you may not know is all the nitty gritty things that we've been working on behind closed doors to make this HIP/HIRL incredibly memorable.

Well, this is where you come in!

We want to exhibit attending Artist's masterpieces in a gallery showing throughout the CHIP Opening Event Thursday June 21st at Chicago Google HQ. This is open to Photographers, Painters, Illustrators, Mixed Media, Graphic Artists and Sculptors. Even musicians: bring your demos. Writers: bring your writings/poems/books to share.

There will also be an area to display your business cards (next to artwork) and a table simply to leave business cards if you have a small business.
