Made in old traditions

The Church of the Resurrection was built in 1776 in the village Patakino. In connection with the creation of the Museum of Wooden Architecture the church was moved to Suzdal, and was restored by architects Anisimovs.
This church was built as a modest parish church. The building is devoid of deliberate embellishment and is attractive because of its proportionality and constructive rationality, achieved as a result of centuries-old traditions.

Another week has passed and it's again time to Sacred Sunday!

The Pokrovsky (Intercession of the Virgin) cathedral was sanctified in 1513 and later it was blessed anew as the Trinity (Troitsky) Cathedral. Its appearance has changed somewhat since the 16th century; some of the architectural details such as windows, e.g., belong to a later period.

Sacred Vladimir

This is a Little Planet panorama. Photos for it were made by me from the observation deck of Vladimir.
Above in the distance you can see the Dormition Cathedral (1158-1160) with its bell tower.
The Cathedral of Saint Demetrius (1191) on the right.
It's difficult to see at this resolution but at the bottom you can see the bell tower and the church of the Convent of Nativity of Theotokos (1192).
