Domination of portrait oriented images ?

I don't like the huge portrait images in my stream. Ok, they were neglected in the old design - black bars/grey bars you know, we had lots of discussion about that on the last GUI update.
But the new portrait layout  is a bit too much for me. Portrait oriented images are getting to look huge now. On smaller screens you have to scroll up and down to see the whole image.

In contrast to that the landscape oriented images look like tiny little stamps and almost get lost.

What do you think about the new images layout in your stream ?
What do you shoot most ?
Landscape or portrait orientation ?

Gigantic Covers - How do you like them ?

As fantastic as the new gigantic cover images look, as distracting I find them, when it comes to figuring out, what the people are actually doing. I simply get lost on this vast cover area and it takes some time to s roll down to the posts or to look up to the small top rim toolbar which contains the links to the about, photo or post links.

What do you think of the new cover images ?

How to disable auto enhance:
Do you know how to awesomize or enhance photos ?

Then you might not want G+ doing the work for you or changing what you did in your own post production.
 
Open  your G+ settings and scroll down a bit until you reach the Photo section. Below that you find the settings for "Auto Enhance" and "Auto Awesome"

New G+ Design

I think it looks kind of cool, but I'm still struggling with some things.
The upload is weird now ....

What I miss is, when I uploaded photos before the update I could select the album which I wanted to put it in and then automatically a share of the photo by keeping the context of the album popped up. Within the post  you could easily navigate from the posted image to other images of the album. This seems to be impossible now.

How do I do this with the new design ?
I can only upload my images to albums. But when I share them from there the image is the only one visible without the option to see all the other images of the album. Found the former upload method a nice way to promote albums without sharing them completely.

Hornet

Testing my new macro lens. It's amazing how close you can get with it. It can actually focus on a point 30mm away from the front lens. Much closer than I wanted to go on this huge bug.

I noticed that I forgot to eliminate the dust and a rotten spot. So I did a re edit of the image. This one will now also look nice and clean when you view it full screen.
