CPJ asks PHL authorities to probe abduction of Filipino broadcaster’s daughter

MANILA, Philippines (PNA) – The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), a New York–based, independent, nonprofit organization, asked Philippine authorities on Saturday to pursue the investigation and arrest those responsible for the abduction of a daughter of a Filipino radio commentator in Palawan over a week ago.

In an e-mail to the Philippines News Agency, Shawn Crispin, CPJ’s senior Southeast Asia representative based in Bangkok that works to safeguard press freedom worldwide, expressed dismay over the kidnapping of the 17-year-old daughter of Louie Larroza, station manager of DYEC radio.
