Sunday as very odd. Starting off with weird dreams in the morning. Then on the dog walk came across a trash bag of what at the time appeared to be "intestines" spilling out of a trash bag dumped in the alley, called 311 and the cops came by ... it was a goat-or what remained of the goat ... most likely used for someones Sunday morning tacos... yum. Then my roommate caught the vacuum on fire.. well almost but hot enough to smoke and melt the belt. I love this life and this town!

Ruby, who I brought home from the shelter on Monday is really opening up. Today on my lunch break she gave me the "chewbacca growl" when I came home. When I came home for good she gave some playful hops and a couple of "woofs". This is the first time I have heard her speak! She seems to be liking her new neighborhood and home, I think I needed rescuing as much as she needed it too... http://goo.gl/xgN9C

Back in 1994, the then Chief Minister of Malacca, Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, was reported to have raped a 15-year old Malay school girl (under Malaysian law, sex with a minor constitutes statutory rape). Lim Guan Eng, currently the Chief Minister of Penang and the then MP for Kota Melaka, spoke out against the rape of a minor after the girl’s grandmother-cum-guardian, who was also Lim’s constituent, turned to him for help.
However, far from deserving justice, both Lim and the school girl received their “dues”. Lim was jailed for 18 months for speaking up against the rape. Spent the day getting my basses all setup. Nice and clean, intonation set, new strings on the fretless... feels good to bang those strings again... dialed in new settings on the fretted... Now the trick is to make sure they are played every night. Hard without a Muse, but maybe the Muse is within.
