It's like once G+ decides I want to see something in my stream. it stays there forever. The only way to get rid of that post that I've been looking at since last night is to mute it.

I'd really like the option to turn on a simple chronological stream. More options = a better user experience.

Your Cake of the Day is this fun little Minecraft cake we created recently for a little boy's birthday. It was a bit tedious cutting and placing all those 1/2" square tiles but it was fun.

We stuck a small sparkler in the top to be the fuse. I wish I'd seen it lit!

A lot of talk from my creative friends about Adobe dropping it's creative suite for the creative cloud. No more Photoshop CS, just Photoshop CC.

At the risk of receiving a verbal tongue lashing from some of you, I just don't see why this is so bad? If anything, it gives people without $1000 an affordable and legal way to acquire the industry gold standard in design software. Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't get the negative reaction?

Disney is redesigning Merida, the female protagonist from the film Brave, so that they can officially introduce her as the newest Disney Princess. 

tl;dr: I don't like this makeover. Disney bad.

If you've seen the film, then you know that Merida was pretty much against being a typical princess-type, and the whole moral of the story was that it's OK to be yourself. I really liked the premise of the movie, and I thought that Merida was a good character for my own daughter to look up to. If you're familiar with my comic, +Lilith Dark, then you know where I'm coming from.

Anyway, now Merida's being "Disney-fied" for some reason. I don't like the new version, and I think it defies the whole point of the movie. Meh. :/

TL;DR version: Teen does science, it gets messy, she gets expelled and charged as an adult with a felony. If I was rich, I'd get her a lawyer and a private school education. I'm not rich, but if someone sets up an Indiegogo after reaching out to the girl, I'll gladly give.

According to the linked news article a curious student was doing random science experiments of the "Mix this and see what happens" variety. What she mixed - toilet bowl cleaner and aluminum - had a smoky reaction that exploded a soda bottle. No damage was caused. No one was hurt... unless you take into consideration the girl's future.
