New drive update has landed. Like the new grid view and the font and colour changes you can make. That said Kinsoft is still far better.

Not a bad idea, you can now upload your own ebooks or pdf's to play books same as you can music to play music. Now Google, how about letting me upload my 2TB of movies to Google video? You know you want to ;-)

The oil industry under the spotlight again. Doesn't really matter what they come up with since 75% of the cost in the UK is tax anyway.

Moscow Subway's Stray Dogs

Each morning, like clockwork, they board the subway, off to begin their daily routine amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

But these aren't just any daily commuters. These are stray dogs who live in the outskirts of Moscow Russia and commute on the underground trains to and from the city centre in search of food scraps.

Then after a hard day scavenging and begging on the streets, they hop back on the train and return to the suburbs where they spend the night.

Its an interesting idea but I have no idea how it will ultimately work out.Could end up just being another TV channel with ho hum shows on Or in my case since I am a love film subscriber it might actually give me a reason to use their streaming service (when it works) because there isn't very much compelling on there to watch right now.  I only have it because of the disks at home and have to say thats pretty good.

He would say that wouldn't he. Yes MS is having a huge success in the none subsidised sector. After 2 years they have managed a whopping 3% share. Not sure about his whole notion of subsidised anyway. Apple certainly aren't selling their phones cheap, I don't think any other manufacturer is either. The networks subsidise but they do it will all the phones including windows phone.

First experiment with +sugru there are buttons under the Sugru that controls the phablet inside the box.  I made a mold and squished it all in to get some nice round rubber buttons.  Really pleased with the way it looks but I wont know until tomorrow if its going to work as planned.  Hopefully the Sugru isn't too stiff or the buttons wont press.
I will report back tomorrow with success or fail!

Google+ dominates poll despite stacked deck!

Lifehacker is running a poll, asking "What’s Your Social Network of Choice?"

But they give Facebook and Twitter an unfair advantage: At the bottom are "Like" buttons for Facebook and Twitter. They're giving a tool to virally promote the poll on two of the social networks, but not the others. As a result, Facebook and Twitter have WAY more votes than Linkedin, Pinterest, MySpace and Instagram.

But Google+ is dominating the poll anyway, with (at the time I write this) twice as many votes as Facebook.

That's not enough.

Since Lifehacker decided to favor Facebook and Twitter, let's send them some Google+ love in the form of MASSIVE votes for Google+:

1. Share this post with all your circles.

2. Go here and vote for your social network of choice:more »

I predict that some of these are right. Android TV's, absolutely and in the car as well. Why should you be forced to have the proprietary manufacturers offering when with android (or any other proper OS for that matter) and do what you want with it. No more £800 sat navigation option just use Google navigate right in your dash, if your feeling flush you could spring the £30 for an offline app. I used to run a mini ITX PC in the car and that was pretty good but nothing like as good as android could be.

Not saying this is a bad idea but what happened to Android devices will never have keyboards?  Is this maybe a sign that chromebooks aren't gaining any traction?  Course it could just be Google sees an opportunity to sell something.

Well I thought I would give keep a go. I tried evernote and and a few others in the past but they always seemed too complicated, too many features or are trying too hard so I never continued. Keep on the other hand is about as basic as it comes. Text note, tick list, voice note or a picture note. Last time I used evernote a simple tick list was buried, keep though is right where you need it.
Maybe I will use thus one, or maybe I won't lol. Time will tell. Course they could can it like they did my beloved reader grrrrrrrr.

I guess I wont be transferring my iGoogle and RSS reading over to Netvibes.  It works either really slowly or doest work at all.  Feedly isn't much better although it does eventually work but it takes its time about it.  Its the old adage, you don't know how good a service is until it is gone :-(
