Russell Miller5,935This circle has slightly changed its composition in the last few weeks.  A few were added, and sadly a few removed too.  I appreciate all of the people in my circles, but this circle is full of people who usually post really good stuff (far above average).  Stuff that makes you think, stuff that makes you laugh, and occasionally stuff that makes you hit the mute button. You can't go wrong with this circle.  In my opinion, anyway.2014-11-27 04:55:3141000
Russell Miller5,853This is the circle that I presently have as "Good Posters".  It doesn't mean anyone in my other circles necessarily isn't, it's just what this circle is at this particular point in time.If you circle these people, you're pretty sure to get mostly good posts and very little bullshit (though I make no guarantees, any one could go nuts one night and completely trash everything. :) )I'm including myself because I'm narcissistic that way. :) #circleshare  2014-11-01 01:04:0738102

Dan Soto56,122Long Overdue Circle ShareFirst, and foremost, this is not a scientific endeavor.  Most of these were chosen by the "relevance" factor that Google uses but I would not have included them if they weren't relevant to me.  The others were hand picked from the rest of the people I'm following that are either;a) interesting to meb) loyal engagers on my postsc) friendsEither way, you can't go wrong with this circle.Add it now to spice up your streamNote: Many of you already have many of these people in your circles already.  Add it it anyway as there might be a few that you don't have. Also, there is to be no "butthurt" over not being included in this circle.  I'm the only one allowed to that :)ENJOY!2013-01-18 00:46:3115036922

Jane Ellen0Name this circle what you want, but I pulled people from across the board, and pond.  If you're new to G+ or bored with your stream you'll find some G+ heavyweights here, and some folks that I feel lucky enough to have discovered. Well, they liven up my day anyway.  I have hung out with the majority of most in this circle.  They are artists, scientists, writers, singers, social media experts, teachers, IT people, and I don't even know what all else.  But they are engagers.  And they all have their own sense of self.  They post what they like in their own stream.  Which is how I approach mine.  If you like it, you engage and you keep reading.  If you don't, you uncircle and move on to someone who is more suitable to your tastes.  If there is one common thread to all of them, I tend to err on the side of sarcasm.  Keep that in mind.  Happy reading.2012-08-28 17:47:441019412
Jack C Crawford33,668Top 500 Profiles of people who always have something beautiful to say.  (Well, not always ...)  There are two buckets in this circle.  Those who interact with me all the time ... and those who I follow just because I think they are amazing. You can't miss by adding these folks.  Worst case, if any of them misbehave, you can uncircle, ignore, block, report, etc.  Gosh, that sounds really harsh ... I really doubt any of these wonderful people will require such action.Just add them.  Most of them are truly amazing ... ;-)2012-08-06 04:35:125011074477
Robert „Big Daddy“ Mosko1,841I don't normally share circles.  However I was planning to share this circle tomorrow for #circlesharefriday  .  I will not be available tomorrow, but this is a good thing for me.This circle is highly diverse in views and humor.  It is full of wonderful people who share and engage.  I hope this circle will enhance your G+ experience as much as it does mine.2012-06-21 20:21:462431205

Sebastian Hiernaux1,505Ever since a popular G member added me to a circle he later shared I have seen my followers grow 100x ... so I'm now doing the same thing.Yesterday I read an article that indicated that G+ gets really interested when your followers reach around 300 ... so I want to help other people enjoy this network as much as I do by sharing and hoping you add them to your circles. This circle I am sharing is full of funny and interesting people... its my "personal favorites" circle.Hope you find it useful...2012-06-05 16:00:01362516
Kevin Medeiros3,101Yeah yeah, this is a huge circle to share. These guys and girls are a bunch of geeks. Geeks of what type you might ask? Well, of all sorts..you'll just have to find out. I've gone through and weeded out some of the inactive users myself in order to stay under the 500 person limit. These guys make up a big portion of my stream and never fail to keep me informed about awesome shit. You may also be asking why I didn't sort them out into sub-geek categories? The answer to that is because I'm not your damn secretary :-)Just check'em out :)2012-05-26 19:20:2947711714
Chad LaFarge9,931Top 50 Most Relevant, and Why You Don't Need All of ThemFor whatever reason (obvious for many, not-so-obvious for others), Google has determined that these are the most "relevant" people in my circles. Undoubtedly it factors in interactions and shared circl...istas (?!?).These are among the people from whom I look forward to hearing and seeing in my stream daily.Do yourself a favor and screen them in a new circle rather than adding them to a circle that already has your important engagers.I say this because I don't want you to be stuck with people from whom I like to hear in case you happen to learn that I have terrible taste in content. Add the circle independent of any other, and go look at the posts from its members. Remove those that don't post content that you find compelling.Do this with any shared circle you add.Your stream can only be as amazing as you allow it be through your efforts and exercising your judgement, not simply accepting someone else's shared circle blindly.I hope this is helpful.2012-04-19 04:45:2350401

Scot Duke2,583Share My Circle The Best of G+It's time again to help out the Newbies to G+ by giving them a leg up on finding the people in G+ who are interactive, responsive and down right COOL!I hear there are a few million more here since my last so I am sure they are probably sitting there scratching their head with a look of confusion on what is going on. I remember when I got here, that was my thoughts. Wish there had been someone then sharing quality Circles. So here is my Inter-circle of real live people. If you are not in this circle here might be why.To be placed in my most cherished circle of friends you have had to: -Be someone I know personally-Have at least made one comment made to any of my posts, -Have a nice headshot photo,-Have a full profile-Make a number of original posts-Understand how social networking works.Sounds simple doesn't it! Well it is and how you should look to building your own circle. Here is your start. If your current circles are not producing the interaction you are looking for you might need to flush them and start over with this one.Warning: If you load this circle into your account to start spamming these people I can only warn you these people are well trained at using the Block for Spam button. Plus, there are a few people from G+ hidden in this circle who are very proud of their creation and I have actually witnessed them removing Knuckleheads like a bouncer at a bar.Have fun socializing..it will pay off ten times more than just gawking or becoming a Knucklehead.2012-03-20 12:07:3131326715

Suggestions made on reshares of the original post were included unless the post was not share publicly. When people suggested more than three members, I chose the first three who were not already included in the Circle. Self-nominations were not included unless another user recommended that person. Billy Wilson30,060Interactive People on G+: Part OneYesterday I asked people who they thought was the most interactive person they have found on G+ and I got a lot of responses. Since people from many different communities responded I ended up with a sampling of people from across a lot of the G+ world. Since there was interest in having a circle created of the people nominated in my threads I made this circle. I'm still working through all of the nominations and will have another circle ready once I'm done working through my threads. You can still nominate people on this post: https://plus.google.com/105706178492556563330/posts/bTjXGJcRNcK The original post hit the 500 comment maximum. You can also nominate on this circle share post as well. #CircleShare2012-01-31 20:54:52501249133190

Virtual Brain Trust Cooperative440Virtual Brain Trust Cooperative Circle. This is being posted mostly as a thank you to the people who have followed our new Google+ page. In the brief time since we set this up, more than 400 people have added it to their circles and are following our posts. Clearly something we are doing has inspired, or at least intrigued, a good number of people here. We really appreciate this vote of confidence and will continue to explore ways we can use a bit of the extra brain power we all have to help each other. These projects will be announced on the VBT Google+ page, so be sure to add that to your circles if you have not yet done so, and also on the network we are building at http://VirtualBrainTrust.org. Some of our more advanced projects will be lauhched on that site, so please consider adding a profile there if your interest is more than casual. It is possible this may be one of the last times we are able to share this circle - we are getting close to Google's 500 member limit and shared circles have limited utility for what we are doing anyway. Still, there are some great people to follow here, They all believe in the spirit of cooperation and have offered to at least consider using a bit of their extra brainpower - their skills, intelligence and creativity to help other people. If you are looking for people who are both smart and considerate, this is a great place to start.2011-12-09 16:58:254291798

TeamViewer Question

I have a small home office network where I run a Windows domain with one DC and one VMWare server running Exchange in a VM.  It often comes up that I am out of my home but need to administer the domain or otherwise access the servers.  TeamViewer has always been a go-to tool for me in this regard.

I had no problem installing and configuring TeamViewer on the VMWare server and within the Exchange VM itself.  When I log off those systems, TeamViewer stays running in the background and I am able to get into the servers from my laptop no matter where I am.  However, the domain controller behaves differently.  While the TeamViewer application is configured exactly like the other servers, when I log off the domain controller, it shows "offline" in my computer list in the client and I cannot connect to it.  If I log in using an RDP session, theTeamV... more »

Watching #houseofcards - season 3 is really good. One thought - when do these people sleep? The Secret Service guy (Meacham) is literally always up every night escorting visitors in and out, Underwood is up to all hours drinking and making calls...

If that is even 10% accurate, I would never want any of these jobs...

Home Electrical Question

Spent the afternoon changing electrical outlets...replaced a couple with the extra USB ports and the rest with standard outlets. I like to work safe and I was able to locate the breaker that controlled the outlets in the room I worked in. However, one outlet just does not show up on the panel. I have a circuit tracer and it located the others no problem - but this one outlet does not show up on the panel...any ideas?

Ahhh...the one-way street of liberal "tolerance" continues to rear its pointy little head.

Being a liberal means never having to say you are sorry. Here is Bloomberg, discussing inner city youths:

“These kids think they’re going to get killed anyway because all their friends are getting killed,” Bloomberg said. “They just don’t have any long-term focus or anything. It’s a joke to have a gun. It’s a joke to pull a trigger.”

Really enjoying the trip down memory lane on the 40th anniversary show for Saturday Night Live.  I remember how naughty I felt as a 10 and 11 year old watching this new late night Saturday on the sly when my parents were out and my grandmother fell asleep after putting us to bed.  While it makes me feel old to realize I have seen this show through all 40 years of its existence, what a fun ride it has been!

Yeah, some people have problem with facts.

To start, some Australians actually make less than the adult minimum wage. The country allows lower pay for teenagers, and the labor deal McDonald’s struck with its employees currently pays 16-year-olds roughly US$8 an hour, not altogether different from what they’d make in the states. In an email, Greg Bamber, a professor at Australia’s Monash University who has studied labor relations in the country’s fast food industry, told me that as a result, McDonald’s relies heavily on young workers in Australia. It’s a specific quirk of the country’s wage system. But it goes to show that even in generally high-pay countries, restaurants try to save on labor where they can.

But hey, lets not let facts get in the way of a meme.

+Dan Soto shared this earlier and I thought it was worth resharing with my circles.

It is almost impossible to imagine all but the most sequestered of human lives would not have at least one time when significant, life altering change was forced upon them.  Health issues, job loss, sudden tragedy - they can all come to us so unexpectedly.

It is always one of the most interesting questions - Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?  I don't think there is one pat answer, but I do believe that these things are allowed to happen in part because it provides an opportunity for good change to occur.  This film and other reviews of tragic events like 9/11 show that tremendous good can come from devastating situations.

Forced Change
How Hurricane Katrina forced many of us to change our lives.

Please read and reshare as this is a project that is very dear to me

"Has anything ever happened in your life that, if it wouldn't have happened, you wouldn't be here today?"

A couple friends of mine got together to make a film about how Katrina forced people to change and start over, often for the better.
I can related to this firsthand as I was there as well.

The directors are friends of mine and two of the subjects were former housemates and another was a good friend as well.
This project needs your help

My friend Rennik, the producer, has set up a Kickstarter fund to raise the money necessary to have this documentary released in time for the 10th anniversary of Katrina.  Right now, 20% of the goal has been raised with 27 days left.  If you can't contribute then please, at least, share this publicly to gain as much exposure as possible.  ___+Dan Soto shared this earlier and I thought it was worth resharing with my circles.
