Vote Pro-Life0There is an event set up for this on facebook by http://www.ifmypeople2012.org/  I do not know enough about them to endorse the organization, but the event is an excellent idea.  From facebook: _Join us for 40 Days of Prayer starting on Sept 28 and ending on our national election day, Nov 6. Commit to at least 5 minutes of prayer for our nation each day. We will send out a Prayer Video from 40 different National Prayer Leaders each day encouraging people to pray for a relevant topic for our nation. We also encourage you to pray thoughout the day during this 40 days with your family, coworkers, church family or however you feel led._ www.ifmypeople2012.org _2 Chronicles 7:14_ _"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land"._ https://www.facebook.com/events/355828731152930/ However, I want to add to this for the G+ event.  For those who don't remember, this page (Vote Pro-Life) was started as the result of a failed attempt to get #voteprolife  trending here on Google+.   _September 28th is the date for a repeat attempt, coinciding with the start of this event._  Please spread the word to your friends, family, and everyone else you can think of.  40 Days of Prayer for America2012-09-29 01:00:00198

Exodus 18:13-23
The next day Moses sat as judge for the people, while the people stood around him from morning until evening.
When Moses’ father-in-law, Jethro, saw all that he was doing for the people, he said, “What is this that you are doing for the people? Why do you sit alone, while all the people stand around you from morning until evening?”
Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God. When they have a dispute, they come to me and I decide between one person and another, and I make known to them the statutes and instructions of God.”
Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good. You will surely wear yourself out, both you and these people with you. For the task is too heavy for you; you cannot do it alone.

Now listen to me. I will give you counsel, and God be with you! You should represent the people before God, and you should bring their cases before God; teach them the statutes and instructions and make known to them the way they are to go and the things they are to do.
You should also look for able men among all the people, men who fear God, are trustworthy, and hate dishonest gain; set such men over them as officers over thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens.
Let them sit as judges for the people at all times; let them bring every important case to you, but decide every minor case themselves. So it will be easier for you, and they will bear the burden with you.
If you do this, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all these people will go to their home in peace.”

Exodus 17:2-7
The people quarreled with Moses, and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?”
But the people thirsted there for water; and the people complained against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and livestock with thirst?"

The Lord said to Moses, “Go on ahead of the people, and take some of the elders of Israel with you; take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.

Exodus 16:11-15
The Lord spoke to Moses and said,  “I have heard the complaining of the Israelites; say to them, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall have your fill of bread; then you shall know that I am the Lord your God.’”

In the evening quails came up and covered the camp; and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.
When the layer of dew lifted, there on the surface of the wilderness was a fine flaky substance, as fine as frost on the ground.
When the Israelites saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, “It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat.
