If your brain works normally

This is another example of an amazing illusion!!! The last sentence is so true.

If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, the dots will remain only one color, pink.

However if you stare at the black '+ ' in the center, the moving dot turns to green.
Now, concentrate on the black ' + ' in the center of the picture. After a short period, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will see only a single green dot rotating.

It's amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don't disappear. This should be proof enough, we don't always see what we think we see.

Vaccines Work

The following infographic shows the huge drop in annual disease cases when comparing the 1900s to 2010. Nearly all of this is attributable to vaccination

So, why do we still vaccinate? As you can see on the right hand side, we've decreased the occurrence of many diseases but not totally eliminated them.

That's why.

Let's not go back to the 1900s.

I currently run the Intel® 335 SSD 240GB 2.5" for OS and been annoyed by slow performence off my 1Tb sata drive for launching games (among others)

I'm working on a new feature that will hopefully make it's way into CM. It's called "Run in Incognito Mode". It's a simple privacy feature designed to help you keep your personal data under control.

I've added a per-application flag which is exposed via a simple API. This flag can be used by content providers to decide if they should return a full or limited dataset. In the implementation I'm working on, I am using the flag to provide these privacy features in the base system:

 * Return empty lists for contacts, calendar, browser history,and messages.
 * GPS will appear to always be disabled to the running application.
 * When an app is running incognito, a quick panel item is displayed in order to turn it off easily.
