Hello All! I've talked about this in an earlier post and since going back home to the Philippines last month, my lifelong dream of giving away backpacks to the impoverished kids in my hometown had finally been realized. I have taken lots of pics and vids and have turned all of it into a movie.

Without a doubt, this was one of the highlights of our trip! Surreal... humbling... inspiring are just a few words I can think of to describe this experience. I can go on but before this turns into a full on mush post.. below is the link for your viewing pleasures... Cheers!

So someone had sent this to me on Twitter and have already shared it over there and thought I would be completely remiss if I don't share this with you guys too! It tells you the story of how an ingenious invention from the Philippines came to be!

Call me dramatic but I have shed many tears after seeing this, one for sentimental reasons (having been born and raised there) but mostly because I am extremely proud! Proud of how this man, using simple everyday materials have made a significant difference in his community.

Soooo guys, I've been using BBM Music for the past 5 hours now (hence the silence) and so far I have amassed 1300 songs and counting. Hubby is right, this thing is addictive! It's quick, it's snappy! It's social music on steroids! I loooovveeee it!!!!

I saw wood carving, fruit carving and even soap carving before. Never think about somebody can carve on book until one picture accidentally come across me. The more I saw, the more I admire those authors. Hence I prepare this poster and share those incredible carving with you guys. Most carving are made on old books (I kindly like those old fashioned feel), and some carving made on magazines which has high-quality paper and vivid color. And one is made on 8 brand new books (em… Just think that is a kind of waste if carving fails). Any way, let’s check out those masterpiece.

How to See Facebook Friends' Birthdays in Google Calendar
Just found out you can do this! Here are the steps:

1. In Facebook, go to https://www.facebook.com/events/birthdays/
2. Scroll to bottom & click "Export Birthdays"
3. Copy the URL that starts "webcal:" in the popup.
4. In your Google Calendar, click the down arrow after "Other Calendars"
5. Select "Add by URL" and paste in the URL you copied in step 3.
That's it!

Btw, if you're ever in Toronto, you should not miss the peameal bacon sandwich at Carousel Bakery inside St. Lawrence Market. It is the absolute best!!!

Why 'Blocking' is the key to Google+ awesomeness

In the first month of Google+, it was all peace, love and understanding.

Now, Google+ has come to resemble the real world, filled mostly with really nice, well-meaning people, but also peppered by the occasional idiot.

Thankfully, Google rolled out last week a welcome Ignore feature, so if you want to stop seeing someone's posts without actually Blocking them, you can do so.

But Block does something Ignore does not do: It prevents people from being able to comment on your posts. This is the best thing about Block, because it enables you to weed out people who ruin good conversations.
