I will say it again...While I somewhat understand some guys' need to hunt wild animals in order to show he still has some balls to his pussy friends, I do not and will not be ok with killing animals for the sake of art. Yes, contemporary art does have some weird fucked up rules that were actually not made by artists themselves, but most of them choose to follow them blindly simply because that's what fancy galleries want. To me, killing and torturing animals, while it proves that our society is deeply dysfunctional and blablabla some random deep shit about how we need to change ourselves in order to change the world, it also tells me that the artist himself chose the easy way out. I still think that ok, artists are free to do whatever they want and art is and will always be shocking, since we ourselves for most of the time have suck goddamn boring lives that we end up being attracted to this kinda... more »

...and I've finally made some time to upload my "Missing Piece" installation on Behance. The cool part is that you'll find the artist's statement and a small, basic description of the 3 canvases. Given the fact that the written part of the project has some 70+ pages in it about life, death and reincarnation, I suppose it won't be so hard to read the summary of it :D

Another work from the "Missing Piece" series. This time it's the finished product. 300x150cm.
Regarding how I obtained the effect, those of you who have seen it live at the graduate's exhibition noticed that there were photographic prints on transparent plexi panels in front of the canvas drawings which filled the missing silhouettes. Simple, isn't it? :)

I submitted a few of my "Damaged People" installations and some of my paintings to the Projekt30 exhibition for february. The jury process is PUBLIC so anyone who'd like to make me part of this exhibit can rate my works with the vote they see fit :) (I'm not the kind of person who'd scream out loud to give me top marks when other artists may very well be better). Be sure to check out the other submissions, too. The whole selection of artists is very diverse.
In order to vote I believe you need to hit the "Switch to jury" button and then see when my art comes up. A bit tiresome, I know, but then again, you may discover something to please your eyes in the process!
