Hugs are the best! My favorite are the big ole bear hugs! You know the ones where you feel your spine pop and crack. Just thinking about it now makes me yearn for another because they feel so great.

Hugging tells the brain to release oxytocin. Oxytocin is a key player in why hugs promote better health. More commonly known for its pleasure-inducing role, oxytocin does more for your body than make you feel good: it lowers cortisol levels in the bloodstream, reduces blood pressure, improves mood, promotes a higher threshold of pain, and expedites the healing of wounds (National Institutes of Health, 2007).

Keep this in mind the next time you feel awkward getting/giving someone a hug. Do it for your health!

EVEN AFTER YESTERDAY'S KEYNOTES, THE MEDIA STILL DOESN'T GET IT.
Google+ is not a social network.

If you watched yesterday's keynotes from Google I/O you're probably as amazed as I am at all the new features Google added to ALL its products and how well they're integrated with Google+.

I can count the ways Google is about to change our daily lives (in a positive way) with each of its updates (From Google Now, to Wallet, to Hangouts, to Maps...) so why does the media continues to compare it to Facebook??

+TIME just released an article calling Google+ "the most attractive and engaging web apps" (really, so it's a web app now?!?) and finishing with -

First of all, my eyes have always been super sensitive, so I'm not usually such a wuss, Except when it comes to my eyeballs.
I have had really dry eyes lately. They've been sore, scratchy and tired all the time lately, so I've been taking way more naps than I need.. then I'm up until 4am. I bought some eye drops today. I have never been able to use them, but I'm older now so I thought maybe...just maybe. But nope, I can't do it. Something as simple as this is kicking my ass right now.

I read somewhere that they pinch their bottom lid forming a cup and drop it in there. I've been trying that one, But nope!
When I pick up the tiny bottle of drops... My eyes begin to blink faster, My hands shake a little, and I begin to get fidgety.

I've had this really stubborn stain/buildup on some tile in my kitchen. I've bought every cleaner imaginable and nothing has worked. Finally, Over the weekend I poured some vinegar on the floor and covered with a towel. When I came back later, about 60% came right off. Just poured a little more on there to get the rest of there. I'm so happy!!


1. Freshen up the fridge. Clean the shelves and walls with a solution of half water and half vinegar.

2. Brighten coffee cups and teacups. Gently scrub stains with equal parts vinegar and salt (or baking soda).

3. Eliminate odors. Swab plastic containers with a cloth dampened with vinegar.

4. Kill bathroom germs. Spray full-strength vinegar around the sink and tub. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

5. Save a garment. To remove light scorch marks on fabrics, rub gently with vinegar. Wipe with a... more »
