Jeff Smith62,133Welcome to The Selfy Sunday Project for *December 2/12* _PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS NOT FOR THIS SUNDAY, NOV. 25/12._ Theme: *Bond, James Bond!* I want to see Selfy's that are inspired by *007* and the James Bond films. Lots exotic locations, action packed chases as well as numerous villains and sexy leading ladies to offer inspiration here. Or just stick to a more general "SPY" or cloak and dagger noire theme. Either way it should be fun. _Props may come in handy here!_ ________________________________ The Halloween SSP was the scariest, most ghoulish, terrifying Selfy Sunday ever. The submissions were amazing. Well done everyone. Trains and planes and automobiles and a few busses thrown in just for fun.

Mom's birthday was a blast. Seeing my best girlfriends of 17 years (That long?!) was fantastic.
The real fun began today with the first bridal shower.

Now we are in to the wedding insanity.
A shower tomorrow afternoon, rehearsal dinner tomorrow evening, wedding Sunday, rehearsal and dinner Monday, Tuesday is a grandchild day, wedding Wednesday.... and we are all secretly hoping one more wedding might take place, but that particular couple isn't really ready for that just yet.

It's been an insane ride already, but it gets seriously crazed starting before noon tomorrow when I have to pick up the flowers for Sunday's wedding and find a fridge large enough to store them!

Goodmorneve, Giggleplus!
There needs to be a coffee IV for me ... can I borrow one?

Still not sure where he was all night, but just a little while ago, a friend called my daughter-in-law to say Brett was with him.
Brett is safe.
He's a little surprised that a police report was filed.

And now that his photo (and in some cases, photos of his tattoos!) are out on the internet, maybe he'll think twice before scaring everyone again.

Thank you for all the public sharing, the public and private support, the prayers and good thoughts.
It's very much appreciated.

His wife, son and baby-on-the-way are doing much better now, knowing he's alive.
(At least until he gets home! hahahahaha)

I have a few folks in Roanoke, VA in my circles - and I have a request.
+Brett Vaught has been missing since about 3PM Eastern Time on Friday.
If anyone of my circle folks knows him, please let me know if you've seen him since then, and if you do see him, please tell him to get in touch with family ASAP.

Another few hours before they can file a missing persons report... We'd like it not to come to that.

(Yes, that's my kid. And it's really hard to sit in Sweden and not be able to drive around Roanoke looking for him.)

As a lefty, my right hand polishes and stampings and placements of decals are much cleaner than my left hand.
But I did do this the other day...

And our text set is out! Many thanks to +Addis G for helping with one of those. Her assistance allowed us to get it delivered on Friday and have the weekend OFF!

I have finally vacuumed the couch. And my fortress. And then the last bits of glass from a dropped water glass in the kitchen. And the hallway - being July, my regular housekeeping service is on vacation, so it's up to me to handle this until she returns in August.
But I should not have tried to do the couch alone.
It seemed to go well while I was working on it. Then the machine decided to stop sucking.
Ha! Fixed it!
So I continued...  and today, I am paying for the work on those muscles. My arm doesn't really want to hold anything.

Welcome back, +Addis G!
I'm putting her to work tomorrow. And with a sigh of some relief!

My darling intern-turned-student has returned to town for a couple of weeks and since I'm a little overscheduled, she's agreed to help out.

See the time? Yeah, it's 2:30 in the morning and I just sent the email out to a client requesting clarification for some parts on a file that is due back on Tuesday. I would like to finish this on time.
Along with the text set. So, Addis can be put on the text while I fuss over this file.

And, happily, she loves my animals and is a really good friend, too - so she has agreed to assist me a bit in the home, possibly even take a trip with me to the lake so I can swim with a buddy, and then.... when it's time for her to return to her student apartment, I might actually follow her back to Visby for Medieval Week!

If the leg isn't hurting too bad.
If the physical therapist says it's okay.
If the cane (should that be necessary) is fixed and valid for use.

Too many "if" things going on, but at least the possibility is still there.

Ah, the joy.
Goodmorneve and Water, Giggleplus!
I'm going to bed now. A new day, new week starts a little too soon for me.
How late do you stay to finish - even partially finish - a project that you will need help on? Do you stay until it's over, or just walk away at a reasonable hour every day?___

Hello, Saturday!
You are yet another paid work day... You are yet another cleaning day... You are yet another paint my nails day. And let's try not to forget a long soak in a tub later tonight, shall we?

The overscheduling means no day off just yet. But the workload is not so large that I can't handle that plus a few more things.
So far today, I've managed to do a load of dishes, a load of laundry, paint my nails and empty trash cans.
Still to do today is take the trash out, pull out the vacuum cleaner (with the hope of energy to use it!), and scrub the kitchen counter.

Along with the paid work projects, of course.
I've done almost half the video that I'd like to finish today. We shall see. And if I do get it done, then I can proof it tomorrow.

But there are other things wishing my attention.
The camera is one. It sits here next to me, asking to be used, but only getting pushed aside one more time.
The iPhones (yes, two) is another project. One of these is for a friend, it needs to be set up. I'm ready except for one minor detail and I'm waiting for the answer so I can finish. The second phone is the replacement (temporary!) for my Xperia... dead Xperia. Sad face. So for now, I need to use the iPhone. But my contacts are all in the Xperia. One at a time, I have to try to get them out. With a little luck, that double-ended USB/MiniUSB piece will allow the phone to be charged up, download all the things, then save to the computer so I can then try to BlueTooth it all over to the iPhone.

It's a plan.
A good plan?

Goodmorneve and coffee, Giggleplus!
One more coffee, then it's water time for me.
How's your Saturday? And does that sound like a good plan?___

Work is progressing. Final push tomorrow on piece number three of five, then a break on those to do another video, then back to the text set, then hopefully, a script will have arrived....
Yeah, a little overscheduled here.

Work, at least, doesn't hurt very badly. I still have to get up from the seat and walk around every so often, but it's not like my labor is physical. So for that, too, with all the other things going awkwardly, I am grateful.

Got the art supplies all in one storage location now - who knew that a rolling toolbox would be perfect for holding paints, canvases, paper, pencils, erasers, brushes... everything except the easel? Well, it does!

Kitchen. I really need to finish the kitchen tomorrow. Maybe I can do that after we have our morning round of proofing...

I'm about to head for the bed, hoping that sleep will take over tonight and the evil animals who live here will decide that me sleeping is a better idea than me being up and cranky at them.

From the heat of the day to a chilly wind blowing.
I decided that clothing suitable for the public to see was a good idea, since I'm really out of milk and figured to let the Tex Mex place downstairs make my dinner for me.

Dressed, grabbed a carry bag for the grocery store, wallet and keys and put on shoes... opened the main door and turned around to make sure I had not forgotten anything... and the door SLAMS behind me.

Nope. Too windy, too cold.

Back in the apartment, there will be soup and grilled cheese for dinner! And I'll just have to suffer one more day with no milk in the coffee.

At this point, just waiting on the Bearded Guy so we can do our work via online video this evening. Proofing is not much fun - especially if I got a phrase wrong, or used the wrong tense, or gender... But still, it's paid work and we want it right!

Oh, the heat of the day and compression socks do not make for a happy me. But once the socks come off and there's an inkling of an ankle line again, then maybe my smile will return.

In the meantime, I'm working. I love my work!

Yes, I know it's Sunday, but this is a big project, on a bit of a rush. So I am working on Sunday.
I'll take a couple of days off when it's finished.

Along with work, there are still exercises to do, massages to do and these (#/%#& socks.

Piffle.

Goodmorneve and Water, Giggleplus!
It seems the cream I had for my coffee was NOT good, so I'll need to go shopping tomorrow. I'd go now, but frankly, I'm too tired to try to put on actual public clothing.

Back when my oldest was tiny, we figured out early that a January birthday wasn't much fun - either too cold to go out for a party, or too many people on ski trips to have a party, or having to return to school.
So, I started a half-birthday for her.

It was several years before she realized that the fireworks were NOT just for her!
:D

Happy Half Birthday, Miss +Valkyrie Austin  - go see some fireworks!

As hard as it can be sometimes just to sit in one position ...
We have paid work!
And so the Bearded Guy and I are working via FaceTime, on a lovely new project.

I want to make it easier on him, so I want to get more of the base work done before I need him involved.

Sitting? Typing? For long periods?
That's just not happening right now.

So - I'm putting my 5-25 to work!  Five minutes of work, Twenty-five minutes of other things. Some of them are work, some are play, some are just walking away from the computer screens.

And it's amazing how much I am managing to get done.
Still not enough to keep him from having to spend what I think is too much of his valuable time while in Berlin - he's got to use it with me if we're to get this project out on time. But still, I can do something.

Still not enough to keep him from having to spend what I think is too much of his valuable time while in Berlin - he's got to use it with me if we're to get this project out on time. But still, I can do something.

Goodmorneve and Water, Giggleplus!
The body isn't fighting me today, and that's a good thing. I just have to try to be nice to it when I can.

If your physical therapist says that you should STOP if exercise hurts, how many steps could you take in one day before the pain begins?___

Greetings, Giggleplus! It's been a while.

The physical therapist thinks she might have a name for what's bugging me - lymphedema. The problem? I don't present with any of the things that would have brought it on in the first place. I have all the right symptoms, but I don't fit the profile.

Snark from me (and my Mom, and the Bearded Guy): Don't fit the profile? So what else is new?

These days, I wear compression socks, do special massages, special exercises and she wants me to use a cane for longer walks. Umm... I don't like the Bearded Guy's cane and mine isn't really for anything but looking at - so I'll have to take it in and get a proper foot on it.

Still, I'm managing to paint my nails, take baths, do facials - my new addiction, facial masks! - and since I just tossed the Bearded Guy back to Berlin yesterday, I've... more »

The frustration? Because these new exercises and new massage things are, dare I say it?, making the pain worse.
Okay, the first day or  two, that's kind of expected. New movements, new pushing points, of course there will be a little more weird pains. But this? This is awful.
I'm barely able to walk to the store. And getting up and down from the couch? Nah, that's not easy. Raised legs at bedtime? Oh, yeah, for that part I'm definitely in!

Oh, well.
Goodmorneve and water today. Lots of water. I've not given up the coffee altogether, but I am limiting it to the mornings.
Do you follow all the advice by your medical people? Or do you pick and choose what you want to follow?___

Well, then.
Tried to take photos of yesterday's little shopping trip to Stockholm, but nothing came out properly.
What is going on with me and my camera?

Thursday night, I had a sudden NEED to go shopping in town. Yeah, the emails did it. When two of my favorite stores put up sales that good (up to 70% off!), then, yes, I have to go see. Not necessarily buy, but go see.

The Bearded Guy actually found more things in those two stores for me than I would have chosen for myself.
But I suppose showing those will have to wait until I get back down the hall and re-take the shots.

Instead - this is he. Happy with his very own bowl filled with Ginger candies - thanks,  +emmy e   - he's having a blast with this!
And he's being good, too. One candy or two a day... he's making them last.

A doc appointment next week to see if we can work out some way to make this pain leave me. Walking around in town all day yesterday really killed my hip.
How long do you wait when the pain starts? A week, a month, years?___

Happy National Day, Sweden.

So a holiday here - but not for us freelancers who basically took most of Friday off anyway. <snicker>

Rough times ahead. It's June, which means re-doing the budget and I'm way behind on that. There are pay projects in-process, which means we really can't be taking whole days and just goofing off right now. And there's the ongoing preparation for moving to Berlin one day... still on the books, still working on that.

And I am still recovering from my May escapades... but the Bearded Guy is getting antsy about returning to Berlin soon.

Right now, I would prefer to just close the blinds and tune out the world. I've been (trying to) reading G+ but can't think of anything to say, even on most of the posts I'm plussing. The camera is not my friend right now (more on that another day), so taking photos is not... more »

I did manage to remove the nail polish on my fingers and prep the hands for more, but I'm not in the mood.

Bleh.

I can't think of anything to say to anyone's postings... Nothing funny, nothing sad, nothing... maybe I should just give up and go to bed. It's 6:30 in the morning, that's a good time for bed, right?

Reset!
The suitcases are unpacked and back in the closet.

Yes, that's what's accomplished. Hahahahaha

Goodmorneve, Giggleplus!
There are new flowers to be photographed, fingernails to be painted, a studio to be cleaned up, paperwork to be done after traveling, plus paid projects waiting for me. So who is making dinner later?  :D

How do you handle general care of self and home when you are overloaded with all the little things in life? Do you order out? Or do you have a slow-cooker? Or something else?

Oh, the state of my living room --

I arrived home to a clear sofa - and promptly opened up two suitcases of stuff and clothing, which is now spread out.
Thankfully, the laundry was done before I left, so there's only one outfit of clothing to be cleaned, and that wasn't even packed in with the rest of the shopping that I brought home.

Between the music books, the general grocery items, the nail polish and things that go with nail polish!, the tiny keyboard for our Pocket Viking and the now-thawed-but-had-been-frozen Girl Scout Thin Mints!, my nearly-empty suitcases have been taken over by the animals here.
It's sad to kick them out of suitcases - or boxes, or crates, or even a pile of clothing - but I want the sofa back!
My couch fortress, so clean when I walked in, is now covered again in a new Glossybox and notebooks and nail polish stuff.

Yeah, I just come in and start flinging things.

Thursday's arrival was so delayed thanks to train issues, we just opened the bags and sifted through them. Friday was insane, but I got the clothing out. Today? Today, I must finish emptying, close them up and return the suitcases to the closet.

With the paid work that was waiting for me, I stopped my unpacking and started my work. That was another thing standing in my way of actually cleaning up properly after arriving at home.

So a bit of work, a bit of cleaning and a little rest. Today's to-do list is short if I put those three items on it. I could turn that into a 40-item list without much difficulty, were I to insist on each line being specific.

Goodmorneve, Giggleplus!
A little more coffee before I get started. How long do you take to unpack? I think I've asked that before ... when it was a week and I was still looking at a suitcase that hadn't returned to the closet yet!___

Iceland is having some union issues - and that may interrupt my travel plans.
Waiting to decide exactly which way to handle this.

Do airlines prefer to handle all "possibly needed" rebookings as soon as they have knowledge it could happen? Or do they prefer to wait until the day, deal with it then?

Any change to my schedule would be inconvenient. Nothing I am doing at this point is time-sensitive.
Sure, if I rebook for a few days early, that means the loss of a lunch and a dinner with friends... but I'm not missing an important meeting. And if I rebook for a few days later, that means working out hotel/friends for overnights for a few additional days, but I'm not missing a transfer to a different airline or missing a long-planned once-in-a-lifetime vacation.

So I'm pretty easy on this.

It's a morning.
I'm definitely sick. Have asked the family if anyone has any Sudafed in-house.
In just a few hours, my day actually begins.
Pick up the flowers, pick up the cakes, go to daughter's house for final preparation photos, then go to venue for wedding ceremony.

Naw, it's not a busy day!

Goodmorneve, Giggleplus!
Do you buy new outfits for parties, or just find something in the closet?

Of all the shots... I think this one is best.

My darling son forgot to bring their wedding vows. Their officiant saved the day... isn't technology wonderful?

I took 277 photos and sent them all to the Bearded Guy Who Lives At My House.
He searched through them all and found 9 semi-usable photos. I still think this one is best.

Today, I will dig out the camera.
I've not had it out AT ALL this trip, and that is a bit on the frustrating side for me. There's been so much to do, so many things to handle, I've felt that the camera would be just one more thing to keep track of and my brain can only handle so much at once.

My lovely suite.
Home when I am not at home.

When you find a place that is truly a small apartment, fully furnished, good rates, and close to the majority of the crew you are seeing... Yup, stay there!

While the insanity of two weddings continues, we did manage to finally get all the rehearsal dinner and actual wedding invitations out. Mailed. Sent. On their way. At last!

Now it's just a few outfits here and there, and unless the brides or grooms fuss over this, I'd love to get little tiaras for the flower girls.

Take an hour to breathe, take a day to resettle and reschedule, but definitely take some time if it can be found.

I'm hoping for a nail day tomorrow... we'll see how that goes!

Friday musings...
The decision has been made after much discussion and thought. I will most likely not even try to work while on this trip. I will finish what projects are currently on my desk, but will not take on any more, effective at 5 pm today.

My clients have been told, however, that if I do indeed have time (and plenty of it!) that they might get an email asking for text projects.
LOL

I am happily finished with several things, have lists upon lists of trip planning, enough work to keep me busy this weekend, and the only sad face currently is a bit of delay on client payments.

This is something that simply must change across the board - freelancers (and corporations) should be able to expect timely payments. And quite frankly, in this day and age, digital payments should be possible even on weekends. If a due date falls on a Saturday, the payment should be... more »

So nice of them to do this change during the month of May ... during which time, my travels remove me from here. Off to the bank today, see if we can work out some of this prior to me leaving (in a week!) or finishing the process after I get back.

Am I ready for this trip? I think so. Maybe.
There will be loads to do. Hoping the scheduling is loose enough for adjustments while there, along with enough rest booked in so that I'm not in complete exhaustion on my return.

Back to work for me - the more of this project that can be finished before I leave, the better!

Goodmorneve, Giggleplus!
It's all good. There will be no stress, just handling one thing at a time.___

Oh, dear.
Too early on a Sunday, and I've already been up a couple of hours.

Too much to do in preparation for a trip that is still a week and a half away. Too many things bouncing in my head.

So for today -
Clear it!
I will think of nearly nothing, so that I can get done one thing at a time. One small to-do list of things for house and home, taking care of me and the Bearded Guy and the cats, making sure one project is finished by tomorrow morning and then the insanity may begin. No insanity today. I simply can't do it.

But tomorrow's list will be long, things that need to be done so I can get through the final stages of this planning and be ready to leave.

There is coffee, there is what appears to be sunshine, the wind has died down a bit and my computers are running. This is all a good thing. Maybe today is just playtime for me.G... more »

Oh - and finding my camera. Or cellphone. Neither of them seem to be where I thought I left them. This is not groovy. And I have freshly-painted nails to show. Might have to ask the Bearded Guy for a photo...

It's a good thing he knows how to use a phonecamera...
Thanks!

The fun part about online discussions - nobody can see what I look like when I have just rolled out of bed.
In need of a shower. In need of more coffee.
In need of ... ambition for the day.

Did not wake up well today, but that's probably because there was no soaking in the tub last night. So that's probably very soon on my list of things to do today.

Two nights ago, we had a discussion with a friend who was making cupcakes for his daughter's party at school. Yes, I'm that malleable - I wanted cupcakes!
So yesterday, the Bearded Guy picked up some things that allowed for cupcakes last night.
18 cupcakes... there are 3 left. Me, the Bearded Guy and our Intern-turned-university-girl. We ate all but three of them.

Ah, the joy of mess-making in the kitchen!

Perhaps the last three are for my brunch in a little while?
How long do cupcakes last when you make them?

There is accordion music outside today.
Don't get me wrong. I have also played accordion and will again, one day. But this guy... oy veh.

There is work waiting for me. Yay!
As soon as I am just a bit more awake, and if possible, they have a different file format which will make the return a bit faster, then I will get started.

We had a visitor yesterday and she may be able to come back later in the week. My intern-turned-university-student is in town for a week! Yesterday we chatted, painted her nails (I'm still not sure I'm thrilled with the result, I may have to do something else to those) and had a good evening-into-nighttime visit.
Plus, the animals love her, so they were glad to see her again.

Plans continue for my trip, the weddings and birthday, the visits with friends... anyone want to plan a June getaway with me?

I'm thinking another round of all-inclusive resort and pampering would be very nice!

Goodmorneve and hot coffee, Giggleplus!
Does anyone know how to shut off the automatic controls on a coffee maker? I'd like mine to stay hot a little longer than 90 minutes when it's just me. As it is, I'm making smaller amounts. But I'm not so sure about those capsule machines...___

I need to get moving faster.
Last night on the phone, I told my granddaughter that I would paint my nails and send her a photo.

I have just started... good thing there's a 6-hour time difference, I still have time left to get on this!

With what little time there is in any given day, it's amazing how much we do manage to get done around here, since both of us are at less than our best.

One small sad face this morning - if my reading is correct, we missed out on a rather large, semi-important project. Part of me wishes I knew who it went to and for how much. Part of me doesn't want to know.

Otherwise, the sun is shining, I'm on coffee number three, it is not yet noon and there are plans to try to actually leave the confines of my couch today.

Good grief, more than a week?

Well, a few of you have seen me - I've commented here and there, dropped a few plusses here and there.
But mostly it has been a very busy week. Delays everywhere I turned and nothing I could do about most of it. Meh.

But yesterday - the Bearded Guy returned from his Berlin Adventure - Round whatever-the-number-is.

While he recovers from his trip and the sore throat he picked up on his last day there, I am just going through receipts and tickets and paperwork. A few things here and there that are work-related.

We finished one major project, and the second one is as done as can be for now. Waiting on finals for that one.

Hmmm ... should paint these nails again. Though I have to say that last week-and-a-day-or-two when I painted them, they have not been repainted yet and they still look pretty good. One pinky nail managed to break a little and there's definitely space between polish and cuticle where growth has occurred, but the tips still look pretty good, considering.

Yeah, I'm liking my new Models Own It gel top coat. I think that's my new go-to.

Still on colors brought in from Christmas and January shopping and Valentine's day... and here it is, nearly April! The Bearded Guy chose every red he could find in a P2 Collection - so I took five of those for this set of fingers.

It's going to be a while before I'm caught up with all the new stuff.

Yes, that pinky finger needs some help. Okay, all the cuticles do. Even with the amount of rain outside, evidently the air inside is still dryer - and drying me!

Cleared of projects from my desk, this evening I got word of two more. One small, one large - and the small one could become a larger one later on.
Dishes done, laundry done, paperwork done as far as I can go right now. At least - I think so.

I've cleared the top of the bookshelves in the living room of my stuff - but there isn't really space to clear more things into yet. Must start the sorting from my studio/office in order to get more actual space. And with this much nail polish, it may be time to find a new way to keep those bottles confined. We won't even talk about how much acrylic paint stuff I've collected.

Stuck in 1965-1969 for my music lists - those are the songs making me want to get up off my couch fortress (cleaned that too, by the way!) and do other things. Those truly are songs from my childhood. What is it about the early years of life and that music which makes me want to get up and dance around? Not the stuff from high school, the music from the days when I had just started elementary school, the music from my first AM/FM radio, the music from drives with parents to visit grandparents in other states? Why those years? Why not the years with the band? Why not the songs from senior year and prom? Why not the years just before my first child?  Who knows?

Goodmorneve, Giggleplus!
Yes, there's coffee in my hands at nearly 11 at night - and my day is beginning. I'll have to find quiet things to do so I don't scare my neighbors at this hour.

I believe the animals miss him.
That is the only reason I can come up with for their actions. Waking me at odd hours, burrowing under the covers on the bed to search for my hands to pet them (that's really NEW), following me around and mewling.

Honestly, creatures, the human in this house needs sleep.
But evidently only according to schedule of the animals.

Things are good. The housekeeper comes today, the laundry is done, the paperwork is in order, the sorting goes as slowly as I can manage and one big project is out the door and invoiced.
Sure, I'm tired. And definitely ready for the Bearded Guy to come home next week. But it's not been so bad that I've fallen apart.
Not yet.

Greetings, 3 a.m., yet again we meet.
If the sleep interruptions continue, I will be forced to seek assistance from another source.
At least this time, it wasn't the animals. This time, it seems, it was my own body fussing at me.

Preparations continue for a longer upcoming trip for me. They also continue for welcoming home the Bearded Guy, whose longer-term Berlin Adventure ends in a little more than a week.
At that point, he'll come home and we'll debrief and reset.

I did not expect this trip to be so difficult for both of us. Though I did indeed understand some of the issues, I was neither aware of, nor prepared for, some of the more annoying things that came up.

All that said - it's been good. For both of us. And he will return soon.

The to-do list for today is rather long.
But it includes coffee in several places.

I think my 5-25 is going to be put to heavy use today. Between paid work and some additional cleaning indoors, trying to stay away from outdoors where it's raining, breezy and cold, plus getting a few other just-for-fun things done around here, I'm already tired.
But it's 10 in the morning and time to get started.

Way too early for a Sunday morning.
Played with some of the top coats over the ModelsOwnIt blue gel-type.

The Canon camera battery would recharge faster if I had plugged in the charger instead of just plugging in the battery to the charger. Silly person.

Been to a birthday party for the child of dear friends, started laundry, done dishes, remembered to shower and eat. But that's about all I've managed since coming home from London last week.
That trip, a slight cold and trying to be outdoors since getting back really kicked me.

I can not keep up with my own desires - barely keeping up with my own needs.

I did unpack the suitcase - but I have not yet put it away.

As I learn more and more about photography, I find myself more and more grateful for the digital cameras.
If I'd taken my photos with film, the blurs and photos from behind less-than-sparkling windows would have saddened me for wasted film.

Digital, however, means I can delete the garbage, remember those shots from being there and get on with more!

Next time, I will remember to pack the spare battery too.

Taken on tourist day - and with the Birthday Girl (my best friend here in Sweden) on her special day. Yes, I went up in the London Eye. And wandered around the Tower of London, took a boat trip on the Thames, rode double-decker buses.

Beginning a trip without your passport isn't usually a good sign.
But all-in-all, it was a really good weekend.

London, you were lovely. Sunshine for 2 days out of 3, and the overcast/rainy day happened on our day for indoor things at museums.

A little shopping, a little touristy stuff, a little wandering, a little food, a little drink.
Yeah, but it's good to be home!

No stress today, please.
Paid work to be done. Empty, cleaned nails to polish - must do that, meeting other nail girls on Saturday! Trash to take out. Phone calls to be made. Must pack tonight, the train tomorrow is well before noon - because I'm delivering one more of the Bearded Guy's prints at noon.
And for tonight, I am seriously considering a bubble bath.
It's on the list - but the list is actually rather long and I got up late.

Last night, a cat decided to burrow under the covers, searching for my hand to pet him. More than once. Woken up several times by that particular beast, he also walked on me, padded the blankets where my body parts were, even licked me.
Is there something wrong with me and he's trying to let me know? Or is he just missing his scratching times from the Bearded Guy, who is in Berlin?

So the London trip is happening.
And since it's just me and my best friend here in Sweden who are going, us girls are going touristy.
Thames tour, Eye, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace...

However -
We are also getting an airport transfer on arrival, thanks to recommendations and easy booking with +247 Airport Transfer.
Would it be rude of us to take a photo of the driver holding the card with our names? Maybe with us?

:D

Since her birthday is Friday, Friday is all about my friend. Saturday is meetups with other Londoners and shopping day. Sunday is more touristy stuff - whatever we might have missed on Friday.
But seriously, has anyone ever been able to take that photo without being rude or weird? Or should I just have the camera ready?

A need exists to remove the nail polish.
However, in learning to package the art prints, I took a small chunk out of my thumb with the knife. It's not large, honestly, it barely bled. But it stung when it happened. A couple of days later and I'm still touchy about it.
There used to be this stuff called NuSkin. I could get it in the USA. Paint that over a sore and go about your business. But my last bottle of NuSkin was emptied a long time ago. Not even sure I can find it in Sweden.

One other thought today - the US and some other places have done their "Spring Forward" this morning... but we are waiting until the end of the month.
So while I am accustomed to a 6-hour time difference between me and calling the East Coast US, now we're at 5? or is it 7? and I don't know.
Plus, when can we give up this change of clocks, anyway?

A need exists to remove the nail polish.
However, in learning to package the art prints, I took a small chunk out of my thumb with the knife. It's not large, honestly, it barely bled. But it stung when it happened. A couple of days later and I'm still touchy about it.

Goodmorneve, Giggleplus!
Awake too early and it's not even a spring forward weekend for me! Where's the coffee?___

It hasn't yet been a week of the Bearded Guy in Berlin, but I've still barely had time to be online!
So much to do around here.
At least I did manage to deliver one of the prints ... two more in process, a package to Berlin, planning a trip for me for next weekend, cleaning and stuff.

And even my little Moleskine hasn't seen all that much love. A paragraph or two now and then and that's it. I can barely manage to write in it once a day.
There simply isn't time yet.

What is it I do all day? Really? Wow, what a difference. While it's good to have the place all to myself and the animals, there's a definite hole in the couch where the Bearded Guy should be sitting.
Hmpf.
We'll see about this Berlin-without-me-thing and we may have to re-think this.
:D

Maybe.
