Copy - More storage than Dropbox

This company seems exactly like Dropbox in that you can easily upload and share files across computers and mobile devices with web access, however you can get a TON more space.

They're currently running a limited promotion to get a slew of bonus storage with seemingly no limit!  (+Chris Pirillo is up to 3.5 terrabytes.)

Finally, there may be hope for my math skills!  Formulas and statistics I can wrap my head around, but anything involving actual  numbers or symbols which look like they come from an alien civilization leaves me banging my head against the wall.

Would you receive unobtrusive electrical stimulation to the brain in order to improve certain skills?

I think I need a shock to the brain to fix my internal compass too.  I'm extremely directionally challenged and while I've never gotten lost leaving the driveway, it's nearly that bad.

G+ What's Hot Serves Based On Gender

I heard a rumour this morning that if your profile is set to male, you'll get different What's Hot (Explore) content than if you're set to female.

So I opened a tab with my profile which was set to female, and from that opened a fresh tab with WH.  Then I immediately changed my profile to male and opened another WH tab to compare as closely in time as possible the difference.

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

So obviously the committee members who approved this bill don't give a fuck about teens receiving proper medical care or about public health.  They only care about making sure everyone who doesn't follow their morals feels as shameful as possible or that they die sooner than later.

This is my 2 yr old son Indy.
He had a little tumble and was clearly uncomfortable around his chest/collarbone area.
I know some of my stateside friends don't fully understand the benefits of a national health service like that here in the UK and numerous others around the world.
This is not to be a political post, but I wanted to share the experience we had.
Wait to be seen without appointment - 10 minutes.
Assessment with Triage nurse - 10 minutes.
Wait in special child's waiting area - 5 minutes.
X rays x2 done.
Wait for Xray outcome - 10 minutes.
Diagnosis delivered, sling fitted, follow up appointment booked for next week done.
All out and in within an hour.
No charge for anything.
AND that little teddy was given to him on arrival as is standard procedure for the childs bravery.

Talking to law-"makers" is like grilling a guilty 5yo who just got caught.

Yesterday, there was a Slashdot article about a proposed "employer snoop" law proposed in my state, where an employer can demand your social media passwords while conducting "an investigation", with some utterly laughable "safeguards".

I looked up the lawmaking record, found the sponsor, and shot him an email, demanding an explanation.

He actually answered, which was a bit of a shock. His answer was his name was on it only because he was the head of the appropriate committee, he hadn't read it when it got introduced because it was close to deadline, and after he and the committee read it, it was withdrawn. Fuck You, Melty Beads An OCD Nightmare.

My boys really like Perler bead projects and my mom recently sent us this nice pack.  Except, when I opened it up I realized that not all the beads could fit into the tray.  And when trying to pour the beads from the flimsy plastic holders they come in, they leap and fly all over the place.

Do you see those purples in the oranges?  That shit needed to be fixed.

It was an awful couple of minutes, especially since the kids wanted to dig in and start their project and didn't understand why I was frantically putting all the stray whites back in their place.  (I promise I'm only pro-segregation when it comes to things like color coordinated bead compartments!)

Wow.  This is so beyond disgusting.  Mom walks in on her 15 year old son and his 18 year old male cousin having oral sex.  The cousin quickly leaves and she takes an electrical cord and beats her son bloody.

With all of the hubbub around the California's Prop-8 and the Supreme Court case on the the Defense of Marriage Act, I thought I'd share this video again.  The pastor in this video provides some food for thought.  

At some point we have to realize, as human beings, that regardless of personal preferences, sexuality (or asexuality), religions views, secular views, or other affiliations, we are all human beings.  That means that we have the capacity for critical thought, discovery, love, hate, compassion, and apathy among many other things.  What defines us as individuals is which of these things we choose to act upon.  Do we choose to act upon the good things such as compassion and love? Or do we act upon the bad things, hate and apathy?
