Just found out my V700 is not in perfect focus anymore, so it's time for a new scanner, but to be honest.... I haven't got a clue.
I want to be able to scan :
120, 35mm, and slides
Which scanner do you have experience with and let's say doesn't cost over 1000 Euros.

Switched from the Epson scanner software to SilverFast Studio AI....
Wow you can squeeze a lot more out of those slides than I expected. I knew there would be a difference, but the double exposure of Silverfast is immensely cool.
Scanning the family archive and finding some real juwels :-)
But men did my family shoot a lot of slides.... I have done over 1200 now and I'm not even on 1/10th this is a multi year experience and loving every minute of it.
Finding something cool that no-one has seen in 30-40 years (or even never) and seeing the response is priceless.

Check your creative cloud today for the new adobe photoshop and premiere.
You will love it.
Photoshops new anti shake seems to work pretty good and it feels a bit more snappy.
Premiere is a huge step forward with syncing on audio and MUCH better multicam performance, new editing tools....

Got out today to test the new Sony 70-400 on the Sony A99.
This is only part of the series (from one point) more will follow in the coming days (and a blog post).
For this setup I tested the speed in which the lens would lock on, I was in front of the jump so there was no chance to follow/track the racers, in other words they jump and you have to get the shot. With over 95% keepers I'm MORE than impressed, even with the 5DMKIII I did not get that many keepers (and I mean keepers that are razor sharp), especially with the backlit situation.
The dynamic range of the A99 is also clearly an advantage here, after some adjustments in Lightroom I'm more then happy with the final results in the original shots the sky is white and the bikers very dark.

Sometimes there is something on YouTube that really is interesting to watch.... this series is very interesting for people who want to not only learn about analogue photography but most of all want to pick up small tips and tricks along the way.

28 Juni beginnen we met Workshop Studio techniek II.
Het gehele theorie gedeelte is herschreven met aandacht voor oa :
Werken met vintage lenzen, analoge camera's, polaroids.
Maar ook aandacht voor :
Je eigen studio opbouwen, werken met expressie in portretten voor dat WOW gevoel, werken met haar
Deze workshop is volledig gericht op fotografen die voornamelijk werken met een mix van niet en professionele modellen maar toch een knallend beeld willen neerzetten bij beide groepen.

If you are like me working with M42 lenses or if you want to mount other lenses on your DSLR than were originally designed for your camera make sure to check out theses guys.
I paid a lot more for my convertor ring.
I'm testing one of their versions now and you will find a review soon, but make sure to check them out, it saves you a LOT of money and they have a great selection of options.
