Further UI Testing
Ok, here is the break down, in single column mode, I waited for 21 new posts to build up. I then took screen shots of the 21 posts that came up when I hit the refresh button. Here are the results. Once again, about the first 14 are actually new, they have time stamps around the post that was at the top when refreshed. The next seven are not new. Some of them are 20 hours old. So, am I missing 7 new posts so I can see recycled ones, or are old posts showing up on the refresh button as "new"?
+Google+ +Yonatan Zunger +Natalie Villalobos is this a bug or working as intended? Personally, I want to see all my posts and not rehashed posts I saw last night.
I blocked out the names on any posts that weren't publicly shared.

UI Testing
So, let your stream sit for about 15-20 minutes, however long it takes to have >30 new posts. Now, hit the blue button to refresh. Count how many posts down you have to go down before you run into a post that is far older than the 15ish minutes that have elapsed. I have tried this three times today and the number is always exactly 15 posts. So, the question is: if there were 48 "new" posts, and I am only seeing 15 of them, where did the other 30+ posts go?
My resolution at work has me working in two column mode, I haven't had a chance to try single or triple column modes yet.

Is this new constant need to manually update your stream a bug or a feature. Am I missing a "Stop bugging me with this shit" setting?

Has anyone picked up Chin Music #1 yet? I am interested in finding out how it compares to Ten Grand from last week. It sounds like it has a similar premise.

Mini-review of Superman Unbound
I don't really like Superman, this movie did nothing to change my opinion. The fact that Supes had at least FOUR chances to shut down Brainiac before he got to Earth and didn't just highlights what I hate about this character. Also, the trope that computers can't deal with chaos is so wrong-headed that it hurts, mathematical tools for describing chaos have been around long enough, we should be able to discard this as a literary device.
Really all this did was make me want to go back and re-read the Injustice comics, which may be the best thing DC has published in years.

Harryhausen was a giant among film makers. I have many of his films on my server, and they are on the mandatory list for Monkey's education.

Scratch 9
The early winner of Free Comic Book Day, according to Monkey, was a book about a superhero cat called Scratch 9. He was so interested he wanted to see if we could get more of it. Here it is on Amazon for $500 (when we checked last night it was $1000).
Sorry son, I love you but you better hope a publisher decides to reprint it.

So, in the last couple years, Marvel has re-acquired the rights to Daredevil, Punisher, Ghost Rider, and Blade. If we throw Howard the Duck into that mix I think we have The Defenders line-up from circa 1979!

There are six comic shops in Seattle, five of them open at 10am. Monkey wants to be there when they open. Any ideas on being five places at once?

If the quality stays up, and I have no reason to doubt JMS can do that, Ten Grand will rapidly replace Saga as my current favorite book.

Vicious
To be honest, I only watched this because Ian McKellen is in it. I don't really care for sit-coms, or bickering old couples. But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised, it reminded me of some of the old brit-coms I used to watch on PBS back in the day. The best moment for me was when the failed actor Feddie (McKellen) was bragging about killing a prostitute on Coronation Street, and appearing on Doctor Who.
