In my spare time I've been helping out with the marketing for Chinatown Adelaide's biggest ever Lunar New Year celebration!!

We're shutting down Gouger Street, will host a massive street restaurant, give things away until it hurts, watch 30 or more multicultural performances including George & Noriko, hang out with the Harajuku no Yoko kids, play mahjong, ping pong, shop at 60+ stalls, eat eat eat, ganbei and bring in the Year of the Snake!!  

If you are in Adelaide this is going to be a great day you can actually bring your kids to that they will enjoy. One of our helpers has even put on a parenting room with under 5's entertainment and all that necessary stuff you can never find at festivals for looking after the little ones.

We had another Harajuku no Yoko in Chinatown Adelaide last Friday night. The ABC came down before hand to talk "lolli" with myself and the lovely Kelly Nicholas (right).  Also in the pic is Beverly Hull (left) and Tiffany Cannon. Click through to listen to the interview.

An event I co-organise is back on next week for a Horror Theme. Halloween Horror Harajuku no Yoko  will be in Chinatown Adelaide 26th Oct 6-9.

We have a few surprises in store that we can't announce just yet ^^ 
This is our fourth event - it's getting bigger each time.

We are a FREE event. Our traders are not charged. Our Dj's volunteer their time, Cosplays are relaxed with no "you only wear it once pressure" 
Kids and families welcome.

We will continue the spooky fun at PimpPad a gaming bar in Adelaide whom finally obtained a liquor license after some hilarious political discontent.

With the help of many we had our first "Harajuku no Yoko" In Chinatown Adelaide on 20th April. Chinatown came alive with Harajuku and Anime inspired fashion and Cosplay. We had traders sell their wares, J music, fashion competitions, free sushi and prizes from Golden Harvest Wines, Flying Sky Fashion and Lyrics on Gouger Karaoke Bar. The street was packed. Here are some photo's of the colour and energy. We aim to do this once a month in Chinatown. Enjoy!

I usually send this evolving circle out on the 1st of the month - but with #thewalkdownunder approaching I thought I'd do it a bit earlier for all of the Australian's coming along.

This is a group of 'active' Australian's who create and comment on great content.

There has been about 30 changes from the last #aussiecircleshare people have become either dormant or boring and dropped off. I've also filtered out a few Seppo's who had snuck in.

I also took a few suggestions from the last post and added appropriately.

This circle is kept to between 90-100 people to keep the quality high - also so that I can notify those that I am sharing to.

I'm looking for a wordpress theme for a new project. I'm going to customise an existing theme for a client who has a bricks n mortar retail business. Think rockabilly, burlesque, grungy, loose, illustration. Plugging in e-commerce down the track is a good option. Overtly corporate themes are out.

My preference is to get pretty close in overall look/feel and then I can use the budget to set-up, focus on content, social and seo.

Would love to hear your recommendations on themes that might fit the bill.
