Taken with a Pentax ME & 50mm f1.8. I received this little SLR from a friend who thought that I could put it to some use. So I loaded it up with a roll of expired Kodak Gold 200 and when shooting. The camera jammed a couple of times, but I don't think it's anything a C.L.A. can't fix. Plus, it's an attractive and lightweight little AP type SLR that's a pleasure to use. I look forward to using it more but with new film next time.

I'm in the process of acquiring some negative scanning equipment and I may rescan this batch in hopes of greater contrast and clarity. Posted as scanned by Toronto Image Works.

Keep shooting film

The wonderful Lomography company has a new 110 film called Lobster Redscale Negative. This is a monochrome C-41 film that's tinted red/orange hence the name. 
This will be my first time using a 110 film camera, not really such what to expect from it. Hopefully it will be good photos.

I have started a new Spotlight thing in my feed (or really it is an older concept I used even on Instagram years ago). I will promote one great photographer every day and showcase a picture or two from that persons feed.

I just started listening to the new novel by Gregory Benford & Larry Niven, Bowl of Heaven.
I've long been a fan of the 'big dumb object' type of sci-fi. This book really brings it to another level. As described in a talk at Google HQ (?) with Larry Niven, this is a big smart object in that it's not a relic but an operational machine that is travelling through the galaxy.
